Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Value for Money We booked into the hotel for the last night of our stay in London. We were tired and ready to go home and had a relatively early flight the next morning. We arrived to the hotel and checked in, there was quite a queue but it moved very quickly. Staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was the largest we'd stayed in during the whole trip to England and there was no hidden costs for having three people to the room. The room was surprisingly quiet thanks to the double- double pane glass. I heard nothing outside and slept like a baby on my last night ready for a long day of travel. The dining area was large and inviting. Breakfast was excellent. I will stay here again when I return. June 30, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Long way from the airport The hotel is a standard Holiday Inn, so if you are familiar with the hotel chain, you know what is expecting you. Two things may be improved: the first is transportation from and to the hotel. It takes very long. My flight landed at terminal 4, and I had to go to T5 (two different trains) and then wait for the bus. Overall, two hours (it was in the evening). The web site is no informative on transport details, but I emailed in advance the hotel and they answered quicky with the details. The second thing is the food. I arrived around 11 pm, the restaurant was closed, and so was a pizza site adjacent to the hotel. I had to go outside to a market at the gas station to get something to eat. June 29, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Stayed overnight on layover My wife and I had an overnight layover in London and decided to stay the night at the Holiday Inn Express after flying from Perth. Getting there from Terminal 3 was a bit tricky. We had to get to Terminal 5 and then took the hotel hopper, so the trip was pretty quick and easy. Our stay was pretty good. The room was nice. The shower had good pressure. Breakfast was really nice. The mattress was a bit too springy for my liking and we sunk in towards the middle. The view was good to wake up to as well. It was a great way to rest up before our flight the next day. June 29, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Breakfast We have stayed here quite a number of times and this was the worst breakfast, although the rate paid this time was higher than normal. The breakfast was missing sausages (and as regular guests will no, this is the only hot non-vegetarian breakfast item) and there was no fresh fruit - these are both options we normally eat. We have written to customer care with these comments but heard nothing. And we have since remembered that we were not offered a drink / points voucher, as we normally are when staying here. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Poor transfer to Heathrow terminals Allow at least an extra 30 mins to 1 hour to transfer from the hotel to any Heathrow terminals. Shuttle service expensive and poor service. Hotel standard is fair for the price but there are better hotels much closer to the airport which are the same or better and similar cost. This hotel needs to offer something more to attract clients. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent for pre flight stay over when flying out from Heathrow T5 The hotel is just off J15 M4, about a 10 min drive from T5 and not to far from the other Heathrow terminals The hotel is pleasant, the staff are all very friendly and helpful. Rooms are a decent size and I give their condition I think recently refurbished. The bathroom has a massive shower area. I was sharing the room with my 2 sons, I took the sofa bed and I must say it was like sleeping in a proper bed. Very easy check-out. The rooms are also very quiet, no disturbance from planes or noisy neighbours! If you have car to park and fancy a drink, they have a special 'upgrade' deal , overnight parking + drink and nibbles for £12 saves you a couple of quid. Also has a local M&S Food shop right across the street. So a very favourable experience and lovely to arrive fresh and relaxed at the airport for our early morning flight. June 19, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor sleep,Air conditioning didnt work Our stay was ruined by broken air conditioning. our family of 4 were booked to stay two nights. The first night was torcher, we hardly slept, our room was stuffy and hot. the windows are sealed so you do not have access to fresh air. I reported it to reception the next morning. They said it would be looked at while we were out that day. we retuned around 8pm with two very tired children and as we walked into the room it was like entering a sauna. I rang reception and they said it hadn't been looked at and they would send someone up. the maintenance guy arrived around 9pm, he agreed it wasn't blowing any air out and all he could do at that time of night was to offer us a room fan. All that did was circulate warm stale air around the room, hence we had a second restless night. we booked this hotel because it was a good location to LEGOLAND, it was a treat for our twins birthday present and the hotel spoiled our break. I also suggest your breakfast staff should understand English so a simple query could be answered and your evening waitresses should be aware that the children eat free. Lack of training. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Uncomfortable mattress but good service Reception was good and efficient. The room was good and clean; shower and bathroom were good. The only problem with the room was the mattress which was very lumpy. It felt as though the springs were giving way as when one side of the bed was moved it had a ripple effect on the other. In the dining room the air conditioning was set too cold which made it draughty and uncomfortable to sit in. We were moved to a different table in a different area but it was not a lot different. I do not understand why air conditioning has to be set so cold. June 15, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great place to stay Booked this hotel due to its locality to Legoland and i wasn't disappointed. Its approx 20 min drive which was ideal. The hotel is on a main road and first impression as i drove up was.. 'Oh?!' But once inside it was clean spacious and the inside made up for the outside first impressions. The room was comfy and relaxing with beds made up nicely upon arrival. Beds were nice to sleep in, a good nights rest was had by all. Aircon is in the room if its too warm which is great. Bathroom is beautifully designed ... very modern and clean, plenty of towels. Shiny tiles clean taps etc, all a sign of the thorough cleaning routine the hotel conducts. Overall great room and hotel for our busy weekend away. A distinct feeling of cleanliness is what struck me most about this hotel (im fussy..i wont even walk round bare footed in the room normally!!) Food in resturant was good too and kids ate free at the evening meal! Perfect!!!! :) Would use this hotel again, for sure. June 11, 2014

Appears close to M4/A4 (busy roads) but we didn't hear any specific noise over and above what we would experience elsewhere. No noise from the departing Heathrow flights. Clean and tidy throughout, breakfast was up to the standard we have come to expect from Holiday Inn's elsewhere. An ideal stay for us. June 6, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Why stint on mattress quality? Spend some money on decent mattresses. The VERY narrow double was foam , very bouncy and totally unsuitable for 2 normal sized adults. We hardly got any sleep as it sagged in the middle and every time one of us moved the other was disturbed. Why not use decent mattresses, as other HIX do? Why was there a mis-match between the price we had been quoted, and displayed on an email and the price initially invoiced? Why was there only 1 chair? Is absurd for a double room; where is the second person expected to, comfortably, sit? We won't use this hotel again. June 4, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A great stay This hotel exceeded my initial expectations. Having worked for an alternative hotel brand I have to say I was very impressed, and will stay with HIE again. My overall stay was enjoyable, comfortable and met all my needs. Check in was a little impersonal (I thought), with the receptionist answering the phone mid check in which I find very rude. Information given regarding our stay was not clear, particularly with regards to breakfast and dinner facilities and car parking fees!!! Having said that, breakfast was exceptionally good to say it was free. Room was not set up as requested, but this was soon resolved. The room was lovely and clean with a good sized bathroom and shower, beds really comfortable, no issues whatsoever there. Staff were friendly, but I felt they could have made a little more effort to engage with guests, checkout staff gave minimal interaction and this felt staged/false and impersonal as already mentioned. Did not eat in the hotel for dinner. Was recommended (by hotel staff) to eat at Toby Carvary or Harvester up the road - Did not eat there as it was dirty and unwelcoming, walked straight back out,Ii wouldn't recommend it!!! Great location for Legoland and I would stay here again with recommendation to others. Had a lovely stay, thankyou. June 3, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, comfortable accommodation The family room we stayed in was an ample size to sleep 4 of us and very clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and pillows. The restaurant offered a value-for-money buffet as the evening meal with 'specials' for children like pizza/pasta. Lots of choice at breakfast to set you up for a busy day. Polite, helpful staff made the stay perfect. May 31, 2014
