Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Odd terms! On arrival I was not treated as a IHG card holder because my business had made the reservation and not me! Staff member was less than helpful because those are the rules! I had to waste time speaking to IHG after the stay to have my points added to my account. This is the first time this has happened to me and so to clarify at this hotel (not sure if this is a blanket term for the group?) the terms are that unless you book and pay for the reservation you do not qualify for the IHG points. I had her explain this a couple of times as english was not her first language and I wanted to clarify that I hadn't misheard anything. She also checked with the other guy on reception at the time who also confirmed this was the case. Other than that the rest of the stay was OK. The "staff & service" review reflects the service at check in. October 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Service, great food, awesome shower We had a great stay here, the staff were amazing and friendly. The food was so tasty and well worth the money. The added bonus of included breakfast made it very popular. We had stayed before but this was a better experience. The bed could of been a bit softer but the shower and cleanliness made up for this. Well recommended and see you again soon Southhampton October 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value This hotel is good value for money.Great location with easy parking. All the staff I met made you feel welcome. The only downside of the stay was breakfast time. The area was overwhelmed at 9.30 especially with parents not controlling their messy children (no fault of the Hotel). So check with staff for quieter times. October 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Great Deal, Poor Experience We stayed here on Friday 2nd October after a day at Peppa Pig World on a special deal they were offering, unfortunately we did not have a great experience and when I told reception at check out they did not seem concerned at all, they obviously don't value repeat business. We are sure to be in the area again to go to Peppa Pig World but I will look for other hotels. The room was really warm, to the point where my little girl just couldn't sleep and breakfast was really poor, no cutlery or glasses for quite a long period and not enough variety, there was supposed to be Sausage, Eggs, Bacon and Beans, but they had run out of Beans and Bacon so I had to queue 3 times in total which is not fun with a toddler waiting at the table, I would suggest more hot food variety anyway, maybe mushrooms and Tomatoes. Anyway main concern is the lack of interest when I expressed this to the person checking me out. I normally have great experiences at Holiday Inn, having got married at the Holiday Inn in Guildford, this experience would put me off ! October 7, 2015
