Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Location Because my stay was a one night with a desire to have a guick on/off close to I 95, I chose this Holiday Inn. As a gold Priority Club member, I was given a welcome bag with goodies upon arrival. Close to highway, but very quiet in room. Staff offered to drive me to a restaurant for dinner, but I declined. This HI is ideal for someone traveling on I 95 and just passing through. Two minutes off and two minutes back on. My room was just fine and clean. June 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Service We really enjoyed our stay. All of the staff were great. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The neighborhood seemed very safe. There were restaurants nearby. When ever we wanted to know something, the staff was right there to help. This is by far, the best hotel we have ever stayed at during our vacations. Special thanks to Stacy. June 15, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best stay across the country! We had a 3 day event in DC. There were many junior high students all weekend at this hotel. Samir (sp) gave us a 10th floor room away from all the noise. The students even used one elevator leaving one for the other guests. The breakfasts were great because the rest of the jr. High students were fed in a separate room leaving our breakfast plentiful,and quiet. On Sunday, we had left at 3:30am, but other family members said a bunch of basketball students came through like locusts, not leaving much for other guests. Maria and the other beautiful girl really kept the breakfast full, and fresh. I know Maria likes that pancake machine! Congrats to the new mother, manager. The other kudos at this hotel goes to Stacy and the van driver. They were professional, courteous and above all really helpful. This service only comes with good management and supportive corporate people.........THAT is why I had my family book here and with HIEXPRESS . Thank-you. June 15, 2013

There is not much entertainment, but the hotel provides a shuttle service on call to and from the Springfield metro station. Restaurants are within 10 minutes walking distance; Mike's Grill($$$#, and Kate's Pub #$) are 2 examples. June 3, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient to DC! Stayed for 3 nights with my wife and two sons while visiting DC and my locally-based military son. Location is convenient to I-95, I-395, & I-495. Drive time is 15-20 minutes from National Mall area without traffic. Franconia-Springfield Metro station is nearby (end of the Blue Line). Comfortable accommodations and friendly, attentive service. Rooms and breakfast are as expected in a well-run Holiday Inn Express. Basic dining and shopping options are close by. June 2, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by not impressed no i would not recommend this hotel. i was very unhappy with the cleanliness of the bathroom even though i didnt express my concerns this is the second time that i have been very dissatisfied with the bathroom it was also in poor shape. the looked like it was going to fall any minute and the walls inside the shower looked like the had had some very poorly done repairs. i would not have stayed there more than one night. We particularly LOVED the complimentary shuttle bus to and from the nearest Metro station! They will also take you and pick you up from nearby restaurants!! Very friendly and helpful. May 2, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Stay here when visiting D.C. We were happy with both the hotel and it's location. The commute into D.C., leaving the hotel about 9A, wasn't bad at all. We did Park and Ride one day to take the metro in to D.C. so we left the hotel earlier that day. The ride was about 40 minutes, but not a bad experience overall. The only negative was the window heat/air unit in my room (#919). It was extremely noisy. We had to turn it off when time to go to sleep. The weather the first week of April, 2013, was chilly; a couple of nights we would have liked to leave it on . April 17, 2013

It was quiet, had a beautiful lobby and courteous staff. We liked the scent of the Rainkissed Leaves shampoo, conditioner & lotion & the mouthwash was especially thoughtful. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel with a comfortable bed and the best staff We recently stayed at this hotel and loved every minute.My son and I stayed at this hotel in 2007 on a trip to DC. And we were so pleased last time that is why we stayed here again with my husband.There have been many updates done since we were here last .The room was very nice and quiet and we were near the freeway.The internet never had any disconnections.The staff is wonderful and very helpful. Stacey the night manager is marvelous, he made us feel like we were at home.He recommended places to eat which were wonderful. and close by We highly recommend Mike's Steak house we are still talking about our dining experience.He even gave us a coupon for $10 off our meal. for another restaurant.You just do not get service like this at other hotels..Stacey is your brightess star !!!. This hotel has a van/shuttle service which takes you to the (metro/airport/shopping/restaurant) which is also very nice. service.We did not want to drive to DC.We really needed some time away to relax and unplug and your hotel and staff helped in making this a wonderful time.Even though the cherry blossoms were not in bloom, that only means we need to come again and stay here.again.Keep up the great work everyone. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A little dated The property is older and is in need of an indepth facelift. Musty odor everywhere. Dust on almost every surface, even the front desk. Room was clean otherwise, linens were greyish white but had no odor. If I had to, I'd stay there again. It was safe and the staff is good! March 21, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Most Hospitable I have stayed at this property for several times in the past two years always on business. The staff is just awesome! Arriving here is like coming home to mom's. They make you feel very much at home. Despite being next to the interstate, it is actually very quiet, a tribute I think to the build. I am usually in a hurry in the morning, yet, find the HOT breakfast which starts at 0630 hours to be not only tasty but wholesome, and usually get a generous amount to my fill. Perhaps one of the best of the staff is Stacey. I do recall he remembered me after my 1st visit almost two years ago and knows my special needs as I sometimes travel with an elderly parent just to get him away. Stacey is particular to ensure my parent is care for and has the type of accommodations he needs. Housekeep too is particular to ensure we are given special attention. At least one of the restaurants just across in the plaza ensure we receive a 10% discount just for staying at this location. They will take you to and from the Airport without a fuss. The WiFi is also without incident, no disconnects as is common in other hotels. That is most important to me as I spend a lot of time on the net. What I really like is that they seem to actually remember you after the first visit and that really makes me feel like I am where I belong and am most comfortable staying. March 18, 2013

There are places to eat within walking distance. And also tanning, massage, manicure and pedicure services in that area also within walking distance. Pardon the delay in writing this deserving review for the entire staff at the Holiday Inn Express, Springfield, VA. My husband and I have ALWAYS selected this particular Inn upon our visits to the DC area. The friendly welcome we receive, the care, concern and interest of all of our needs continue to be most evident by the staff no matter what their title or position. Our rooms are ALWAYS clean, the breakfast area spotless and the front desk managers welcoming, humble and customer friendly. It is evident that the employees of this Inn, take pride in their professions as they continue to demonstrate a positive attitude in all that they do. In particular my husband and I wish to commendate the front desk managers, for their humility and sincereity in carrying out their day to day challenges. Their work ethics are commendable and their personality most welcoming. There hasn't been a time when we were in need of one thing or another when these managers didn't make sure our needs were met. HIE corporation should also be commended for employing such staff members. We will continue to patronize this Inn in the future for all of our trips to the DC area. No MIcrosoft Office products. Had to work late due to that reason. Have IT department update business center computers weekly November 4, 2012
