Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Nice rooms but under renovation Until the renovations are complete recommend you stay at another IHG location. We should have been informed in advance or offered a reduced rate! Room was nice, clean, comfortable and internet was complimentary. Having to go to the property next door for breakfast was inconvenient due to weather. The staff was very accommodating since we were joined by another party during our stay; putting us only a few rooms apart. October 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by High School Reunion, Class of 65 We were delayed in our departure for the hotel and ended up driving in a rainstorm. Because of the rain we were having difficulty finding the driveway to the hotel. The young lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. She stayed on the phone with us until we were able to find the driveway. She was patient and comforting and just a really nice person. In fact all of the staff that we interacted with were conscientious and welcoming. The beds were soooooo comfortable. I have issues with my hip and I was able to sleep through the night. Thrilled. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great except wi-fi and breakfast Great location on the Island. Everything a short driving distance. The hotel was doing a lot of renovations and the breakfast area was in another building across the parking lot. I don't know if this is always the case or because of the renovations. Same items all 4 days I was there. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits with sausage gravy. No pancakes or waffles, no cinnamon buns, no french toast. I was unable to use the wi-fi. Kept getting the message wrong password. No help from the front desk on this problem other than sorry we don't know why thats the password. Hope the problems were due to the on-going renovations. Would probably give it another chance if I visit the island in the future. Everything else was great. October 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by So-So hotel room -- thought it was a little pricey This was our third choice for a hotel since the other ones were booked. The hotel was going under renovations. But they were on their last week of renovations. The hotel room was so-so. Nothing really special. There was no refrigerator in the room. It did have a safe though which is always nice. There was no artwork on the wall. Perhaps that was because of the ongoing renovations. I'm not sure we'd stay here again. October 6, 2015

The painters were in the hallway working when we went to the wedding so we had to go around them. When we got back our key cards would no longer work. The girl at the desk made 2 new sets which would not work either so she had to find the housekeeping master key to let us in the room. Then we were stuck in the room for the remainder of the evening. Also, there was not enough parking due to the repaving of the parking lot. So we had to park next door some of the time. September 30, 2015

This may be a nice place to stay after everything is complete, but in the meantime, I would avoid this place. September 30, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wait until they have finished remodeling!!! This has been one of my favorite hotels to stay at in the HIE chain, but not this trip. I booked two points nights for this stay and thought I'd have a pleasant relaxing stay! It didn't happen! Construction workers were all over the place trying to finish up and leave both days I was there. Breakfast was located off the hotel site in another hotel owned by the owner of this hotel. You couldn't even get coffee at the HIE. The room smelled like fresh paint and epoxy used for attaching the baseboard in the halls as they were finishing up painting. Work began early and finished late at the hotel. The clothes dolly was being used by the construction workers and unavailable. For recognition of my platinum membership they finally found a bottled water where it had been moved because of construction. This stay was definitely not worth the 15,000 points per night charged and some re-crediting of points to my account should occur. I was told that this would happen at the hotel, but it has yet happened. Wait to stay! September 25, 2015
