Extremely clean and comfortable hotel with brilliant and friendly staff! I am extremely fussy when it comes to cleanliness but I didn't have one thing to complain about. However, it smelt that the previous couple who had stayed in our room had vomited on the floor (it had obviously been cleaned up). So I went to the front desk and asked if it were possible to switch to another room. Without any hassle, the receptionist very kindly gave us a key to another room on the same floor and apologised for the problem. Also the hotel held our luggage safely for us (free of charge) once we had checked out the hotel so we could visit Alton Towers for the day. Therefore the service was absolutely brilliant! Considering the price we paid for the hotel, the quality of the stay was great and the breakfast buffet was an extra bonus. The hotel is beside 'The Harvester' which was a lovely choice for dinner as it had a very nice atmosphere inside. Overall, I could not recommend this hotel enough - thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would like to thank the staff for their great service!

We have stayed many times at this hotel and the standard never varies. The staff is friendly,welcoming and extremely helpful. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable.

Dirty carpets, staff were preoccupied with sorting out thier rota rather than looking aft customers..... Ws ok but wouldn't return unless I had to.....

Great locatiion close to the football, Close to A50 but was not able to hear it too much in the room.
There needs to be more choice for breakfast ie bacon, tomato, etc not just scrambeled egg and sausage and beans, Otherwise good value.
No evening meal.

stayed here for two nights with the Alton towers package with two kids. Very handily placed, easy to find and with the Harvester next door you could walk back no problem.
Hotel rooms were perfectly acceptable, clean and modern. Buffet breakfast was also excellant and actually hot for a change !!
no complaints at all and will defnately use again, thanks guys !!
