Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service from staff, one concern over breakfast choices What a wonderful greeting on arrival - I checked in early without a problem (I had to leave for a day out at midday). The front desk staff were superb. The only concern I had was that most if not all of the breakfast choices seem to have too much sugar in them - the muesli was sweetened, the apple juice seems the same and the croissants were as well. At home I try to buy cereals etc with no added sugar and have done for years, so I guess I assume that this would be the same when choosing breakfast, but of course I get caught out and tuck into over sweet muesli! Not a major gripe and I'm sure one that can be fixed quite easily and it certainly did not detract from my positive experience of the hotel. Thanks again to all at the hotel. August 14, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Amazing Staff! My husband and I stayed for a week as we were there to visit family in the area. The staff at Stoke on Trent are Amazing! From the moment we arrived both Julia and Garreth were there to greet us and assist us with our needs. The airport lost our luggage and your staff went out of their way to assist us. I am ever so grateful. The staff is outgoing, thoughtful and extremely caring in making sure we were comfortable during our stay. The hotel is clean, our room was spotless and each day cared for by a very helpful and friendly staff. I even left them a note for an extra sheet and towels and our needs were met each day. The shower was great and plenty of hot water. Each morning we were greeted by Lynn in the dining room for breakfast. All your breakfast staff were extremely friendly but Lynn made our mornings a bit better with her caring words and smile. It was a nice way to start the morning. The food selection was wonderful, fresh and tasted oh so yummy. We never had to wait for seat as the tables are cleared promptly. The hotel bed and pillows are extremely comfortable and the room is fresh and clean smelling. We had internet access which made it easy for us to keep in touch with family and friends back home. Excellent location and easy to get too. The carpark is a bit small and fills up quickly but we had a spot each night. The carpark is well lit and we had no problems leaving our vehicle there. The best features of this hotel is the staff. They all go out of their way to make your stay the best. I am looking forward to returning there again soon. August 13, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 GREAT VALUE BASE CAMP. If you are either travelling or visiting local attractions then this hotel is ideal. The rooms are spotless and the beds comfy. The bathroom is adequately equipped although if you run short of tootpaste, soap, tea or coffee then complimentary items are avalible from Reception. The bar is good although sterile in that it also doubles as the breakfast location. There is a Harvester pub/restaurant twenty odd yards away that does meals, drinks etc. The staff in all areas were on the day I stayed absolutely brilliant. It is so nice to chat with local staff who know the area and who can engage you on a day to day conversation without as in some hotels hiding behind a 'company façade'. Nothing was too much trouble for them and although it was a brief stay it was very pleasurable. Thank you Holiday Inn, STOKE! August 12, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Family Visit Stayed here for 2 nights on a Alton Towers package which included the theme park tickets. I arrived around 3pm on the first day and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the local area providing directions and a map to local leisure centre's. We had a family room which was compact (sofa bed pulled out# but adequate. Had a drink in the bar and the staff were very friendly/chatty making everyone feel welcome. Breaksfast was busy in the morning but plenty of staff cleaning up and replenishing food #thought they did a great job with so many people bustling around). Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
