Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bush Gardens Pkg. We got a pleasend stay at the Hotel. The room was large and nice with a good view at Bush Gardens to enjoy the firework. The shuttle service from the Hotel to Bush Gardens was very good. Special thanks to the Driver Sam and Ronaldo for the nice driving and information. Also is the Hotel very close (walking distance) to Olive Garden and Red Lobster, so that we not have used our car for three days. When we will visit Bush Gardens again, that Hotel we be our first choice. July 24, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Decent hotel for price and location We stayed for 5 days in July and the room was not a true suite like we have had at other Holiday Inns. It was just a larger room with a pull-out couch that was so uncomfortable we had to ask for a rollaway bed. The cleaning staff must have been short on towels because we were never given the correct number of towels. We always had to go downstairs to get more towels. We got stuck in the elevator on our last full day and it had not been fixed by the time we left the next morning. When we pressed the call button in the elevator the front desk attendant answered and we told her we were stuck. She then said "just a minute" and we never heard anything else. We finally pressed the alarm button and the doors opened. Good thing we don't panic easily! The best part of the hotel was the free breakfast buffet. It was mostly the same items each day, but there was a pretty good variety from pancakes, to eggs, cinnamon rolls, etc. The breakfast staff were very helpful and extremely friendly! July 22, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good hotel service is friendly, especially the Shuttle drivers went out of their way to accommodate us. Even tho there are 4 floors, we waited a long time for elevators b/c one of them was out of service. The continental breakfast choices are very limited - no muffins or croissants. The fitness room is a joke. The thermostats in the rooms are out of kilter, We had to set them at 68 to get cold air. All in all, a good hotel for the value, would stay there again. July 21, 2013

NOTE: If you are going to Busch Gardens, which we were, because of the location of the front gate, the walk is about a mile not half mile, as you have to walk down to the parking lot to get in, and then all the way back to almost where you started to reach the entrance to the park. The hotel does run free transportation, but the bus does NOT run between 1pm and 4pm Also of note: It seems the a/c is monitored by some type of motion detector, so it shuts off if you're not there, so when you come in it's really hot and at night I had to keep adjusting it to stay cool.. After losing our reservation at another hotel( not Holiday Inn ) he and his staff made us feel welcome , the room was clean and neat , breakfast was good , and where else can you go and swim in the pool and watch the firework display from across the street at Busch Gardens. I didn't caught the name of the young lady that work the desk she was an African America lady, very helpful and excellent customer services. Also the guy Rolando that drove the shuttle bus was very excellent and preform very good customer services skills. I had no bad experience my whole stay there. July 4, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by June 23-28 2013 Where to start, the hotel was really nice. The general manager greeted the guest every morning, the shuttle driver was extremely patient and accommodating. We were going from the water park to busch gardens and he would pick us up. I received excellent customer service from the black girl at the desk. Cons There was an odor upon entering the hotel. In our room 232 there was an odor from the refrigerator area that smelled like a dump truck. On that Tuesday the house keeper came upstairs with febreeze and they wanted to down grade us to a smaller room. I waited until the morning to speak with the front desk, then we were upgraded to a presidential suite. Overall I enjoyed the hotel. It was clean. July 4, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by LOBBY I did enjoy my stay in this hotel. However, i would suggest something to be done on the odor that is in the lobby area. Ironically it is only in that area. It gives a bad impression, and it leaves you in doubt in how the room will be. In all reality, the room was very nice. Just as they say... first impressions do count. June 28, 2013

The room we stayed had a very noisy air conditioner which made us not able to sleep well. Breakfast had a good variaty of foods. Stayed only for 1 night. There was another employee at the front desk, but she was on the phone and it was obviously NOT a business call. If she was not actually working, it doesn't look good to talk on the phone while there are people standing in line to check in. Other than that, my stay was great! June 23, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable bed, good service, clean facilities Hotel appearance and staff were good. Loud, rude guests coming home near midnight every night made getting rest a challenge. We wre in town on buisness not vacation and had to get up early every morning. We chose the location because it was close to USF, but not on the railroad tracks like the other hotel. I find no fault with the hotel except the rooms could be better insulated, especially in a "holiday destination" where the guest do come back late due to the parks closing hours.. June 21, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Late night arrival We arrived after a Tampa Rays game and were put into a room next to the elevator. We had a small child with us. You would think common sense might have inspired the manager to ask if the room was acceptable. In addition to the elevator noise the small room refrigerator was not working correctly. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wonderful time had by my family This hotel is so convinent for Busch gardens. The coutersey bus service was an excellent. I stayed with my family (Husband, 12yr old and 8yr old) The room was very comfortable for our needs and would highly recommend it. Also great that there is an Olive Garden(Italian food), next door. We could walk there in the evening after a busy day at Busch. Breakfast was good, only downside was plastic plates, knifes and forkes but for the price can understand why. After we called to page the driver (who had assured us in the morning that he would come within 5 minutes of our call) the front desk person "forgot" to alert the driver we were waiting. Evening plans had to be cancelled as we were drenched and unable to get ready in time. Several new pairs of sneakers are waterlogged thanks to the cavalier desk person. June 9, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not comfortable - hallways All of the hallways of this hotel are extremely HOT. I asked the front desk and they said it was because it was on the top floor. However, I have lived in Florida my whole life and no other hotel I have stayed, have hallways this HOT. Plus I had visited the other floors and they were also very hot and I over heard another guest complaining about it as well as they got off the elevator. The rooms were comfortable but the hallways were too hot. The lobby had an odd smell as well. June 9, 2013
