Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff Yes, the hotel itself is clean and new and a nice property, but the difference here is the staff. I would like to point out that we stayed here twice, once in December and once in January. The first visit Amber checked us in and she was polite, gracious and friendly. For our January stay, Walter was amazing. We arrived late after a long treacherous drive and he was kind, accommodating and very welcoming. The staff, and especially the front desk team can make or break a guest's stay and for our family, they were both winners in our eyes. Thank you! Michael B - Toronto January 6, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by House keeping is lacking Our rooms did not get cleaned. Mgmt blamed it on lack of communication and short staff. After speaking to another guest, we found out her room wasn't cleaned the day before. Seems to be more of a common practice than miscommunication. January 5, 2014

Even though they were stuck working over the Christmas holiday, they all had a smile on their face and made sure we had what we needed and were comfortable. Seemed to snow some each day but the sidewalk and front of the hotel was always shoveled, clean and dry. January 2, 2014

On my last visit however I was surprised at about 10pm when another guest walked into my room. I am completely unaware how this could even happen, and I would have thought that giving someone a room would make it unavailable. The highlight of the evening was the front desk calling 5 minutes later and asking if I was actually in the room... December 30, 2013

The floor was completely soaked as well as everything including my clothes which were on the floor. Upon check out i somewhat expected something in return for the inconvenience but was instead told thank you and promptly handed my bill. December 27, 2013

In addition, we used the conference room for the luncheon which worked out wonderfully!. Thank you for taking care of us during this difficult time. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable Rooms, need to improve on a few things The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. I like the white bedding and extra pillows. The first room we were given had the strike-plate missing out of the door lock, and a large gap at the top of the door, which made our room feel neither private nor secure. Thankfully, the hotel employee Joseph kindly gave us another room where the door worked correctly. He was very nice and helpful. A few cons and needed improvements are: The hotel was crowded and noisy. Teenagers were playing hockey in the hallways and were loud day and night. I know that wasn't the hotel's fault, but it was part of our experience staying there. The breakfast staff seemed understaffed. It took a long time to get through the breakfast line, and trash cans were full to overflowing. Having more employees working that area during busy times would help tremendously and help keep things running smoothly. The thing that bugged me the most was the towels. We had 6 people in our room and having 3 or 4 towels wasn't enough. We had to go down to the desk every night to ask for more. We didn't mind asking for more, but when the lady at the desk kept asking us each night for our room numbers and even our name, that was insulting to us. We weren't trying to steal the towels, we just needed enough for our family to use when they took showers. I felt like I should take the dirty ones back to her each day to show her we used them! A possible solution would be if you could let the housekeeping staff know the number of guests in each room, so they could leave an adequate number of towels each day. Having more hooks in the rooms for the towels would be nice. There is a note in the rooms saying the hotel would like to conserve water by not changing the towels everyday if you leave your towel hanging up instead of on the floor. That would be nice, but there is only 1 hook beside the shower. There's no way a family could hang all of their towels on that one tiny hook. Hooks on the back of the door would be a good place to start. Overall this is a good hotel that just needs to tweak a few areas for improvement. I think all of these issues could be easily addressed and fixed so that future guests could benefit from the improvements. Thanks! December 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by room was good but could have more furnitures room space was good. More furniture like chair tabel could be added in the room in increase comfort level. One TV could be added to view from sofa. House keeping was good in general but need consistency. The number of towels should be same every day. First day 9 towels, second day 6 towels, third day 7 towels. Room walls need some treatment to decrease other room sounds. November 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Friendly Staff - Home away from Home I have stayed at this hotel during the past several months about 30 days - improvements have been made since the early weeks when kinks with the internet connection were being worked out to getting the place spruced up. The staff is very friendly and go out of their way to ensure that they greet you personnelly - special recognition must go out to Amber and Tereah. The rooms are spacious and nice. Very comfortable beds/pillows - able to get a good nights sleep all the time. I like that there is a refrig & microwave in the rooms. This hotel is willing to upgrade IHG members which is also a nice added perk. I like the added touch in the Jacuzzi suite that allows you to see the TV while enjoying a nice soak. I have a couple suggestions: 1) would be to pay attention to details at all entry points - as I like to use some of the side doors for easier access to my room. Both entries on the side need clean up from the construction. 2) would like to see a few more healthy choices on the breakfast menu. Overall I would definitely recommend this location and will be back many more times. October 30, 2013

I travel for work on a 24/7 basis and I have never stayed at a hotel that had such out of control guests and a staff that couldn't keep their facilities under control. The guests were loud, drunk, and absolutely obnoxious. I had to call the front desk at least 3 times every day that I was there. Even after I would call the front desk several times things weren't taken care of. I might as well have not called at all. I paid to stay at a hotel for 3-4 days and not get any sleep and have to deal with unruly guests. I am beyond furious and being a Platinum IHG Member who does nothing but stay in your facilities.. this is not acceptable at all. Positive feedback: The maid staff were EXCELLENT and very friendly. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Good comfort but surprised at dirty carpet. I am a frequent HInn Guest so I have an established expectation. This location is new, just 23 weeks I was told. Greeting staff were friendly and efficient. Lobby clean. Room very nicely appointed. I like the increased luxury level Express Suites has taken. All seemed in order when I noticed the in-room carpet. Clearly it had not seen a vacuum in sometime as bits and pieces of paper and threads were many. Desk staff were advised. They apologized but made no effort to offer any compensation. The breakfast area was also under stocked with variety. It is a large comfortable dining area but disappointing. Overall value is sub-par considering these issues. I may or may not return. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not sure you want to publish this, but We did not enjoy our stay. Several problems. Room had clean, freshly made beds and the bath room looked cleaned. But, the rest of the room was not cleaned. The sofa area sink counter was dirty, the coffee table was greasy. Found a toy car under one of the beds. Only one phone in the king bed room, nothing in the two queen room area. One bottle of water for three people. One extremely small bag of cheese fish snack. AND THE NOISE FROM OTHER GUESTS WAS TERRIBLE. We called the Front Desk after 11pm to complain. That should never have happened. October 21, 2013

Amber and Tereah made sure to say hi to my kids every time we came through the lobby and were always asking if there was anything we needed. I would gladly stay here again in the future. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stay that ended badly The front desk at check in was quick and easy. The hotel room was clean. The breakfast food was not very good. The front desk staff always greeted us coming and going for our two day/night stay. After we checked out and were on the road, my daughter realized she left a necklace hanging on one of the hangers. I called the hotel, and a man at the front desk said he would go up to our room to see if it was there. He called me necklace. I asked if he knew who cleaned the room. He told me I would have to call back the next morning and talk to Terea (sp?). I did call the next morning at 10am. I asked her if she would check the room, check lost and found and find out who cleaned the room and call me back. She said she would. Three hours later and not hearing back from her, I called her back and I was told she didn't know anything yet but would call me. Four days later, I've still not heard a word. While I know it's my daughter's fault for not remembering her necklace, someone has it and I was never contacted back. Would not stay at a dishonest place like this again. September 19, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by House keeping needs more training, from inspector maids. New hotel very nice things are not one hundred percent. Attitudes from night of check in to check out. Not all one in particulair was the hotel manager, no personality at all very cut and dry, very dry. seems she don't understand complaints very well, maybe just having a really bad day when being spoken too. My overall stay was ok had a few problems while there like changing beds. maid service need more training. check out was not smooth credit card on file was billed and also another members credit card was charged, still trying to unravel all of that. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by disappointed For a new facility I expected more from staff and service. When we arrived, it was later in the evening @10pm. There was no one at the desk and the phone was ringing off the hook. I stood there long enough for the other guest withme to park the car and come in after unloading luggage. Still no one at the desk. When she finally arrived the poor person on the phone did not want to be put on hold but she insisted. We checked in and went to our room. Upon using the restoom, we found a partial roll of toilet paper (partial being less than 15 pieces of paper left on it. had to call for toilet paper. There were only 2 towels. We went to put ice packs in the freezer, when the drawer was pulled out it was full of water and spilled all over us and the floor (there went another towel) The freezer then screamed and screetched all night. We went down for breakfast and there was minimal items to chose from. nothing seemed to work. machines were marked as out of order, we ended up going to Mcdonalds. After a long day for us and another to go we were very disappointed with the room and services. August 29, 2013
