My family an I checked in on Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving. We were visiting relatives that evening and Thanksgiving day. We have stayed before and have had no problems other that Breakfast area gets very busy and the staff has a time keeping up. On this trip the intitial check in and room (third floor and next to ice machine) provided were fine. No real complaint until about 9:30 PM. We had come back from dinner earlier and had settled in for a nice quiet night. All of a sudden the room directly above us had what sounded like a herd of elephants trampliing back and forth and yelling loud talk. I believe there were two families sharing ajoining rooms and they were just letting the kids go wild. I am a fairly tolerant person but when it did not stop after about 15 minutes I made a call to the front desk. The clerk on duty apoogised for the disturbance and assured me he would call the room and ask them to stop the commotion. I'm not sure what he told them but they did indeed stop after a short time and we finally got some piece and quiet. I would definately suggest that aneone staying here stay on the fourthe floor if possible. Thank you to the clerk who corrected this situation.

I signed up for priority club rewards in July and since then I have stayed in about 45 to 50 different Holiday Inn Hotels. This hotel has, by far, the WORST service ever!
The Hotel is relatively new, clean and looks great, however the staff is unfriendly and apparently can not work a telephone! I had an issue with my stay over a month ago, since then I have made several phone calls to the hotel and also to Priority Club customer service. I was even promised extra bonus points from the GM and still nothing! If you call the hotel, the staff will admit that they have no good way to relay a message! Really?!?
The TV in the rooms worked half of the time.
Breakfast in the morning, Terrible! Holiday Inn usually has pretty good breakfast, not so much at this location. I stayed 3 nights, thought that maybe they had an off day...nope, unless they had 3 off days!
If you are looking for a place in the Des Moines area I would NEVER pick this one again!

What a wonderful hotel! Probably one of the cleanest hotels I have been in inside the room and the rest of the hotel. Service was promt and very polite and helpful. Will stay again for sure.

A very nice, clean, comfortable, well run hotel. The beds, pillows and shower are great! A very good value in that the price is reasonable also.

We arrived at this location after 8 p.m. and still received the best service. We were upgraded for our platinum status and the price was great. Rooms here are very nice and the common area and dining room were beautiful. Breakfast did not have as much on the bar as others we have stayed at but what they had was very good. We will stay here again.

Very nice hote with excellent service staff. The breakfast attendant was very attentative and very friendly (you do not find that very often these days).

Upon arrival on two recent stays, I was welcomed and received complimentary suite upgrades. The courteous check-in staff offered to have some breakfast selections available for an early departure the next morning prior to the set hours. This newer hotel is in outstanding condition, and the rooms were well-kept, clean, and comfortable. I will definitely return to this Des Moines area easy-off/on I-80 access hotel!

I've stayed at this HI Express location numerous times for business and pleasure. It is a great location in Des Moines and the hotel has wonderful rooms and staff! I would suggest this property to my friends and family. Thank you.

I have stayed at this property twice and both times they have had to reprogram my TV multiple times because the TV would only work on about 1/2 the channels and unfortunately, the ones that did not work are mostly the ones I like.
As a platinum priority club member, all I recieve is a bottle of water and a bag of chex mix. Worse than the "snack" in coach on an airplane.

This is a very nice hotel as far as clean, new rooms and facilities.
In a recent stay, I had to turn the thermostat to 81 to keep it comfortable.
Also, the non HD TV did not get service for many of the channels. The channel listing was also completely wrong, so it was a frustating stay with these conditions.

Nice motel and great, convenient location. Breakfast choices were just like the other Holiday Inn Express locations -- eggs, gravy, biscuits, etc. (A menu upgrade would be a welcome change since I stay in this chain multiple times throughout the year and am getting tired of the same 'ol breakfast!). This location did not offer any perks for Priority Club members this past experience --- they have in the past!

The room had a separate sitting room area (which could have slept more people for a larger group). Staff were friendly and the hotel was newly decorated and very well-kept.
