Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel is ok but excercise facility is neglected The hotel provides overall comfort similar to competitive brands with the exception of the exercise room. I have stayed here several times during the past few months and experienced the same problems every time I go to work out. There are no towels in the room, the cups for drinking water are missing, there is no disinfectant for sanitizing the equipment, and more importantly, the equipment does not function properly. I have reported one of the treadmills multiple times that the belt slips and the indicator lights do not work. As of yet, there has been no action to repair the equipment. October 7, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Rude customer service! 1. The front staff were very unfriendly and rude. 2. No clean towels for one entire day. Gave us hand towels and said "We have no clean towels you'll need to deal with what we give you" Rude! Never got any in one of the three rooms we reserved. 3. Didn't do light service on our rooms. 2 of the 3 got service on the very last night and got towels sometime after we left the hotel for the night, after 4pm. October 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nice Room, Terrible WiFi! I have stayed here several times this year becasue it is the closest location to where I have to work. The room and food service are terrific- but this hotel has the worst internet service of any place I have stayed at! Early morning about 5:00, the internet is fine- it gets bogged down between 6:00pm and 10:00pm- the hours that most travelers would be using it. If you depend upon fast and reliable wifi service- then skip this hotel until they can increase their bandwith. It's not just me- I have heard other travelers complaining about this at breakfast. Even with a number of changes and special requests we were treated well and everything came out exactly as we had requested. The hotel is clean and comfortable. It was very quiet which was a surprise since there were a couple of different sporting teams on property. The great room was a nice place to meet and relax at the end of the day. Front desk and service staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nicely located near the freeways and several restaurants and Starbucks. August 28, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Could have been better We are long time "Priority Club" members...now it has been changed to IHG, and we are not sure if that is perhaps what caused our somewhat poor experience. We were redeeming one free night and we had paid for another night with points and $40.00. We had decided to add a third night at our own expense. This caused no end of confusion. We were charged for one of our discounted nights...still waiting for it to come off our credit card as "pending". Someone who we thought understood our situation more or less barged into our room, thinking it was "vacant". Another person knocked on our door, asking if we were leaving, but we still had two more nights booked. All in all, this did not lead to a relaxing experience, as we were in a state of wondering what would happen next. Otherwise, the room was comfortable, the location good, and we enjoyed the pool and the breakfast, which is always a perk. The new IHG brand does not seem to work well...their website is awful and we are very disappointed in something that we have enjoyed over the years that now seems to have changed for the worst. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by The wrong Room When we arrived, we were assigned a room with people already asleep in it. After apologizing to the people I when down to the frontdesk and got another room. That room had someone's old slippers in the window. Finally I got to sleep only to be woken up, at 6:30 to a phone scam with someone pretending to be the Holiday Inn manager looking for room and credit card information. Need I say anymore. Factoring in the breakfast for all 4 of us, it's a Great Deal, comparing to paying less for the room, but then having to buy breakfast someplace else. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by WOW First stay was spectacular I thoroughly enjoyed my four night stay. I am a platinum member, and therefore travel too much. I've stayed at many IHG hotels and Holiday Inn Express is my favorite. This was clearly one of the top three stays I've experienced. That includes London, Frankfurt, Dubai, and more. I've stayed at fancier or more expensive places, but not better... one is a gem. It's placed just far enough off the main arterials to add some extra charm. I enjoyed a great room at a good price, too much good hot food, a spotless facility inside and out, excellent housekeeping staff, plenty of parking, and a manager who truly enjoys his work. I had the pleasure of spending some time talking with Gary and other customers on successive evenings during the receptions he personally hosts. I felt like I was relaxing with an old friend. I look forward to when and how I can find a reason to go back. August 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Saviors to Weary travelors My young son and I were stranded in the area unable to obtain a rental car. We landed at this hotel, using Rewards Points with ease, and found our room comfortable and clean. The breakfast was filled with ample choices and we found all to be fresh and rapidly replenished. Having booked a flight to leave within hours the front desk staff and manager gave us a measuring tape and even weighed our luggage to make sure our bags were under airline requirements. The service here was exemplary. We thank them very much for easing our burdens. July 18, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Slow Internet! I have stayed here 3 or 4 times this year. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice location close to mall and lots of dining choices. If you need reliable high speed internet- this is not a good choice. Between 7 and 10pm nightly, the internet bogs down to an unusable slow speed. It's so slow that I finally just give up and shut down. I can't even check a simple email account because the pages time out! Very irritating as I tend to spend my entire evening using my laptop and watching TV. Alos, for breakfast- if you use Splenda sweetener- bring your own. This facility does not supply it. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Felt very very welcome My visit started on the phone with the girl on the desk, friendly and helpful with my questions about parking two large box trucks. We shortly then arrived in the car park with our big yellow rental trucks. The car park guard on duty was very into getting us helped and happy. He suggested a few ideas and then directed us to the manager inside. We checked in, and as mentioned the manager came to help us park our yellow giants. Cool guy. After that was sorted he & the front desk girl invited us to 'A Reception With The Manager' (free drinks & soup). I've never seen this at a H.I. before. We were relaxed before we took our shoes off in our room. We'd drove from Los Angeles moving furniture. I like to add that people in this part of USA during our tip were super friendly. Thanks Holiday Inn Vancouver Mall/Portland Area, seeye next time. ---Oh yea, almost forgot, they have a DVD library (free). Other HI's, take note! It's the simple things. April 15, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Some thoughts This was not my first stay at this Holiday Inn Express. This is the first time there was a security guard outside when I arrived. The next morning when I asked him about why he was there he said he could not tell me. The next morning at breakfast one of the men told me why they were there. A simple answer would have made me feel safer rather than questioning whether I would stay there again. I was disappointed that many of the nice people who worked the front desk no longer worked there. Some of the people were quite nice but some would not even greet me when I walked in or left. Since I was there a week a simple hello, good evening, or have a nice day would have made my stay more comfortable. This has happened in past visits. The most disappointing was the vomit that was in the stairwell when I got up the last day. The clerk had delivered the bills and I would have thought he/she would have seen it. March 12, 2013

Cons: hallway to elevator is very narrow, don't know if a whellchair can fit. Too many people, I think because of the close proximity to mall. Overall I think our stay here was average. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by upsold without an option The hotel itself was fine as they always are. I was very disappointed by the mandatory up-sell I received when booking over the phone. I was told that the only rooms available were the more expensive suites. Obviously, since I was already in town and am a member of the Priority Club I graciously accepted what I thought was my only option. After arriving to the hotel I couldn't help but notice that there weren't more than about 25-30 cars in the parking lot overnight. I checked through online reservations and found I would have had other price options for those dates. I am very unhappy with those kind of tactics. Sincerely, Chris December 16, 2012

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy and expensive First of all, the manager seemed to think it was important to have the landscaping service use the blower outside of our window (& others) at 9am! A motel means to rest - we didn't here! Landscaping could wait until noon or afternoon! Secondly, you don't accept pets (we have a service dog, but we had no problem here), and most other Holiday Inn Express's do. Your room charge is high for other Holiday Inn Express's we stayed at along our way from Texas. We really didn't see why in comparison, just that we were told it's a new building. So what! Not impressed with the manager's choices at this hotel! We usually get water and a treat at the minimum for our Priority Club membership. We got nothing here! November 11, 2012
