My visit started on the phone with the girl on the desk, friendly and helpful with my questions about parking two large box trucks. We shortly then arrived in the car park with our big yellow rental trucks. The car park guard on duty was very into getting us helped and happy. He suggested a few ideas and then directed us to the manager inside. We checked in, and as mentioned the manager came to help us park our yellow giants. Cool guy. After that was sorted he & the front desk girl invited us to 'A Reception With The Manager' (free drinks & soup). I've never seen this at a H.I. before. We were relaxed before we took our shoes off in our room. We'd drove from Los Angeles moving furniture. I like to add that people in this part of USA during our tip were super friendly. Thanks Holiday Inn Vancouver Mall/Portland Area, seeye next time.
---Oh yea, almost forgot, they have a DVD library (free). Other HI's, take note! It's the simple things.

This was not my first stay at this Holiday Inn Express. This is the first time there was a security guard outside when I arrived. The next morning when I asked him about why he was there he said he could not tell me. The next morning at breakfast one of the men told me why they were there. A simple answer would have made me feel safer rather than questioning whether I would stay there again.
I was disappointed that many of the nice people who worked the front desk no longer worked there. Some of the people were quite nice but some would not even greet me when I walked in or left. Since I was there a week a simple hello, good evening, or have a nice day would have made my stay more comfortable. This has happened in past visits.
The most disappointing was the vomit that was in the stairwell when I got up the last day. The clerk had delivered the bills and I would have thought he/she would have seen it.

No rubber bath mat available for the shower.
Food was poorly cooked, cinnamon rolls were very dry.
We paid more for the room than what it was worth.
Room was clean.
Staff was pleasant and friendly , rapid check out receipt was available early in the morning.

First time in this location. Pros: 24 hour security , location, staff is pleasant. Cons: hallway to elevator is very narrow, don't know if a whellchair can fit. Too many people, I think because of the close proximity to mall. Overall I think our stay here was average.

The hotel itself was fine as they always are. I was very disappointed by the mandatory up-sell I received when booking over the phone. I was told that the only rooms available were the more expensive suites. Obviously, since I was already in town and am a member of the Priority Club I graciously accepted what I thought was my only option. After arriving to the hotel I couldn't help but notice that there weren't more than about 25-30 cars in the parking lot overnight. I checked through online reservations and found I would have had other price options for those dates. I am very unhappy with those kind of tactics.

I like Holliday inns cause I can rely on the, to be clean, get Wi Fi ... It is always a safe place to stay.

Clean sheets and great service tell a great story of being taken care of by the staff at Holiday Inn Vancouver. No complaints or worries, just on to business and look forward to my next stay there. I highly recommend this Hotel.

First of all, the manager seemed to think it was important to have the landscaping service use the blower outside of our window (& others) at 9am! A motel means to rest - we didn't here! Landscaping could wait until noon or afternoon!
Secondly, you don't accept pets (we have a service dog, but we had no problem here), and most other Holiday Inn Express's do.
Your room charge is high for other Holiday Inn Express's we stayed at along our way from Texas. We really didn't see why in comparison, just that we were told it's a new building. So what!
Not impressed with the manager's choices at this hotel!
We usually get water and a treat at the minimum for our Priority Club membership. We got nothing here!
