We had such wonderful personalized service above and beyond the norm from the hotel owner, from Pam (at the front desk), and from many other employees. The owner went out of his way to find us a refrigerator for my brother's medications, even offering the use of the staff fridge for our large quantity of meds. The gentleman who helped me in with luggage sought out an extra table so my brother's necessities could be accessible when he was confined to the bed. The maids assisted in locating stores I needed, providing phone numbers and recommendations. Any facility can be well-kept and ADA compliant, but not all have personnel who go overboard to assure a pleasant stay when dealing with unpleasant circumstances. Kudos to the owner for hiring and training such a fine work force. Great service; comfy beds; nice amenities; clean. Will return! August 14, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff, disappointing rooms Our family stayed at this hotel for two nights to attend a wedding in Vermilion. The beds were very comfortable, but the rooms were damp and musty. The pool temperature was great and the breakfast selections were good. The grandkids especially enjoyed the pancake making machine! The staff is to be commended for going out of their way to help with room discrepancies and providing additional towels, etc. The kitchen staff did their best to keep up with guests' needs. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, Comfortable Room The room was adequately furnished and clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the bed linens were clean. The bathroom was stocked with the normal toiletries and also was very clean. The only complaint is that Housekeeping provided three bath towels for four occupants The hotel is on the outskirts of town and it is very quiet and peaceful--one side is boardered by a corn field. A relatively short and easy commute to Sandusky and Cedar Point with the on ramp to Route 2 a quarter mile from the hotel. August 9, 2014
