first of all the room was excellent ... but for seniors the tub was difficult to get in and out. The 2 shower heads did not adjust properly. The knob to turn on the shower heads would not fully turn on. Thus we had to stoop under the shower head to get the little water there was. The lady at the desk said she was sorry and would add some rewards points to our account for the inconvenience as she was aware of the problem. Sorry but nothing to date

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by leroy13 Our 6 night anniversary stay could not have been better
The 1-bedroom suite was huge and very comfortable. The 3rd floor balcony was the perfect place for morning coffee and to watch the morning sun reflect off the red hills. Each day when we returned to the room it was very clean and neat. We didn't use the full kitchen much, but it was fully supplied with dishes, silverware, and even a dishwasher.
Breakfast options changed each morning but always had a good variety, but always included the freshly made pancakes. The secured storage rooms in the parking lot made nightly storage of our bicycles very convenient.
The entire staff were very friendly and helpful, especially the manager and assistant manager.
The location was a bit remote, but was the perfect place to use as a base for our trips to Zion, Vegas, Bryce, and Snow Valley parks.
I will recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay in this area.

The hotel is located between. Zion Nat'l Park and the city of St. George. It's a great location if you want to explore Zion and surrounding area. There is a great outdoor pool if you need to relax after a day exploring Zion. The only slight down side is a 5 mile drive to St. George to find restaurants. If you own a Harley the hotel is a stones throw from Zion HD. It's a great HD store for sales, service and if you need parts while on a road trip.

I have to travel from las Vegas to Salt Lake on a regular basis. You have a choice in between to stay in Mesquite, Washington and Cedar City within 80 miles. I have generaly picked Washington due to being recognized as a Platinum Member getting upgraded or at least pool side or a view room. Seems lately like in this trip I have been looking at the parking lot or back wall. The place is very clean and the staff is very helpful. A very nice place to stay. However, If you are a Platinum member and used to upgrades, this is probably not the place to stay.

We enjoyed our overnight stay outside of St. George for the first time in multiple coast to coast drives. We did not have dinner there, so we cannot comment on the convenience of the location otherwise, though the nearest restaurant appeared to have closed.

We had such a nice overnight stay driving out to California that we stayed again on the return drive. Everything about our stays was perfect: friendly and helpful staff, quiet/comfortable rooms with fridge and microwave, free wifi, and great breakfasts.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Tiger21 Nice location, great staff, good rooms
As a platinum elite member with Ihg I have stayed at over 100 different Ihg properties and this is one of the nicest and cleanest I have seen. We did experience a few minor problems in our suite but the Assistant general manager was aware of the noise from the A/C and the difficulty getting in and out of the tub/shower. The staff is very nice and helpful and the surrounding area is very beautiful. Hopefully they will correct the minor issues quickly then this will be one of the best HI Expresses in the country.

Stacey, a HI Express employee at the Parachute, CO HIE site, went above and beyond the call of duty to assist me in booking the St GN-Z location for the night. She made numerous phone calls on my behalf and considered my wishes in all facets. .

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SKW0114 Nice motel, but...
Nice hotel, but mattress sagged and I couldn't get a good night sleep. Our main criterion in choosing a motel is the bed, since we spend all of our motel time sleeping, and it's disconcerting when the bed isn't comfortable. Otherwise, the food was good and staff pleasant. Motel was very clean.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Emmalinka Very good experience
I stayed two nights at this holiday inn express and I was very happy.
The customer service was very welcoming and kind.
The first room I was placed in, I could hear the tv from the next room through the wall. It really was quite loud!
I explained this to the front desk and the receptionist immediately changed me to another room without any hassle or drama.
It was so quiet in my new room and I was right by the pool and next to a young family and I didn't hear a thing.
My bed was really comfortable, the room was very clean and cosy.
The breakfast was great, they offered many choices, and also healthy options.
The pool and spa are well maintained and its a family friendly atmosphere.
The surrounding area was good, I felt comfortable my car was safe. There is a small hiking trail to walk your dog in the morning. Its a really quick drive into town too.
I travelled with my pet dog and everyone was friendly and accommodating to both of us! I only took points away because of the noise in my first room, but after I talked to the front desk, everything was perfect.

We stayed 8-3-13 and were lucky enough to get a room upgrade for membership status. Great room with a fireplace & jacuzzi tub. It was very relaxing after a long day of visiting Zion & Bryce National parks. The staff was very friendly. I always like HI Express for a quick breakfast in the morning. Like I told my wife, it's not a gourmet meal, but it is hot & has good variety.
I was especially impressed with the breakfast staff. Being near a National Park, there are many families with kids in the summer. The room was a bit crowded, but there was plenty of staff to keep it nice. Two people stocking the food, one cleaning tables and another picking up the dining room.
The staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had plenty to eat and a clean room to enjoy it. Hate to say goodbye, but it's good to start the day with a nice breakfast.
Great facility & terrific room & staff, I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area.

I have stayed at this property several times and each visit has been very good. They always upgrade my room when possible. Each room is well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Nice, large, cozy eating area for breakfast. I will continue to use this property whenever I travel to the St George area.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by YAauthor Love Holiday Inn Express
We left Las Vegas a night early, because we knew we'd enjoy ourselves more in the Holiday Inn Express than we were in our "resort" hotel.
The midnight staff was helpful and kind. Check-in was easy -- and we didn't even have a reservation. Our room was clean and cool -- and when we froze the air conditioner, the maintenance staff had it fixed within 15 minutes.
My only issue was the variety of breakfast choices. They usually have a breakfast meat on their hot buffet, and on Monday morning, that option was lacking. Otherwise, the awesome free breakfast we're accustomed to at the HIE.

We stayed a total of three days in the third story two bedroom suite. We felt like we were at home and it had a nice size balcony. The decor was very nice and the suite size was generous. The a/c was a bit loud but we enjoyed our room until it was time to go to sleep.
The elevator is bit slow for the second and third floors. During our stay the evening coffee carafe's were empty or close to empty and the coffee was luke warm.
The kitchen did not have paper towels, dish clothes or dish soap.
The creamer was not available and we had to ask the staff for creamer each day and it was powder creamer not the liquid flavored creamers that the other hotels we stayed at had available at all times of the day.

It was very comfortable. We had visited Zion National Park, which was over powering in it's greatness. There were many other canyons which were beaatiful in the area. The pool was very nice, water was warm and clean. The area was clean and relaxing to set outside. It was quiet and away for the city.

After a very comfortable night at the hotel, I had a large truckload of personal goods that needed to be offloaded into a storage unit. Knowing I wouldn't be able to finish before my normal checkout time, I inquired at the desk if I might be granted a late checkout in order to allow me to return and shower after unloading the truck. Even though the hotel was full and very busy, the desk person immediately granted me a delayed checkout. I unloaded my truck, returned later to the hotel, took a nice shower, cleaned up, and went on my way refreshed. Very accommodating staff. Great service. Thank you.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Teddytoo Too expensive for just a room
This is a nice hotel where we stayed last year. However, it's way too expensive for just a room. There were huge numbers of traveling sports teams this year. Great for the hotel, but not my needs. I only stay here for pool and the included breakfast. But for both stays this year, we couldn't swim due to huge numbers of kids using it till 11 PM. On return trip, we were put in room right by pool. Despite 2 doors to pool, we heard screaming kids until after 11 PM. Then, there was no room in breakfast area to eat, which was packed with kids and families, and I kept checking for available space over an hour and a half. No coffee (all used already). You need more breakfast staff when hotel is filled. And a suggestion is to have 10-11 PM as adults-only swim time, which would cut down on noise. Although this hotel is nice, it's way too expensive for just a room.
