Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Judithg Terrible experience for our family
We booked 5 rooms the week after Christmas for a family get together. There were 8 children in the group. We arrived from different locations and the rooms were not ready at 3 pm. That was not the biggest problem. It was the staff/management and they way it was handled. They were forced to stay in the lobby with the children until slightly after 6 pm. The weather was bad and when they went to take them to the pool, it was broken. The heater was out of service and the water ice cold. So that was not an option. When the desk was approached about the long wait, my daughter was told that they would give her money back and she could find another hotel. Where was she going to go with her 2 under the age of 4 and the rest of the family at that point. No offers to make amends and when asked if we could have a later check out to compensate we were told absolutely not.
Now let me go over the food for breakfast. The room was packed at all times with not enough tables and chairs, the toaster was broken, the coffee and food were low and limited.
I am terribly disappointed and I had just come from another hotel .in North Carolina that was booked to capacity. The rooms were ready on time, the food excellent with waffles and many more choices and the staff wonderful.
I have stayed in holiday inns on and off for years and have never had such a terrible experience.
One last thing, the door jam to my king suite was separated and my grandchildren were able to come in my room by simply putting a credit card in between the space. The desk did not seem to think this was a problem and were rude to my daughter when she pointed it out.
I own 2 businesses and this was not an example of good business at all.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by tennispro05 Our safe haven during Sandy
We were so thankful after driving 100 plus miles to find a hotel that we love that was open. We are fans of Holiday Inn Express and the Staybridge Suites. I don't think the hotel was prepared to be fully booked with so many displaced storm victims, but the manager Chuck and all of the staff were so helpful and friendly. My family was very stressed and being at Holiday inn during this time was a blessing M.y teenager had INTERNET!!!! We had power and hot water and coffee.Having to leave our home because of the storm was truly upsetting, but being able to be comfortable at the Holiday Inn was just wonderful. We can't say enough good things about this visit!!! Except THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!
Sincerely,

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Unhappyswimmer Could not use pool or whirlpool
We go to White Haven for the whirlpools in the room and the indoor pool and the whilrlpool in the pool and the breakfast. We were very disappointed when the first morning of our two day stay neither the pool or in whirlpool with the pool could be used because it was cold. We really enjoyed the elephant towel on our whirlpool. The staff is excellent. But we feel that an adjustment or extra points should be given for not being able to use the pool or whirlpool in the pool.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lyric good location, nice hotel
Hotel is located at the intersection of I-80 and the PA Turnpike. Easy access to the hotel off of both roads via PA route 940 -- you can see the hotel's sign from both roads.
Well kept property -- clean and quiet. Staff is friendly. Breakfast area well maintained. Hotel rooms are large and well maintained.
I've stayed in this hotel on another occasion and will use it again when I am in the area.
