Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Great Location
Good hotel for the price paid in a great location. If you are looking for an "upscale" hotel this is NOT it. Outside appearance is poor and needs a facelift.
It has an adult only pool with mostly kids in it. The problem is the sign is very small and out of sight for most people. No one there to enforce it.
If you want a hut close to the water you need to get in line 2 hours before they start taking reservations.
As I mentioned it is in a great location and you can walk to allot of places to eat.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lucy's Mom Another great stay at the Aruba Beach Resort in Aruba
We had our fourth great stay at this resort! Our room was clean and well cared for, our bed was very comfortable, and we were treated very well from the moment we stepped out of our taxi from the airport until the time we left! I enjoyed the exercise classes - usually at least one per day (yoga, Pilates, aqua aerobics). The food at the Sea Breeze Restaurant was great. We ate out for most other meals since we enjoy trying new things. We found two new restaurant favs - The Old Cunucu House (authentic Aruban cuisine) and The Bavarian Restaurant (great German food and unique beers). The pools and beach were also lovely and clean as always. We stayed at Sea Tower - top floor oceanfront - a beautiful view of every sunset. Will we return to this Holiday Inn Resort?....absolutely!......and we recommend it to those who ask!
The only downside was the palapas......I simply wish there were more so that everyone could have one that wanted one. Please think about putting up more.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by debkam The Beach was Awesome!
Great location as it is in the center of everything! Nice beach front. Booked 2 rooms over 6 mo in advance directly w/ the hotel to get the room locations I wanted for our family trip. Did not get connecting rooms, did not get 2 queen beds, but instead a king and a pull out, did not get the tower or view I requested. The young man that checked me in was rude and very short with me. I had bought the $70 drink and free breakfast package, and he dismissed me when I asked how it works. The next day I asked at the desk across from the check-in and she was awesome. She told me not to be frustrated and got me charge cards and everything I needed. In the end: one room was nice and the other the pits. Loved the breakfast as it had a lot of choices for everyone, the service lacked. The Palm Bar had awesome service and good attitudes.Drinks usually $8 each but Happy Hour 1/2 price. Great plus was the endless supply of orange or lemon water in the lobby. Holiday Inn is trying to improve - their biggest problem is they need to change up their front desk. The 1st impression for a guest and getting things right from the beginning is so important as it sets the tone for the week.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Scott P Great location, nice hotel, good value
My wife and 2 children (18 & 20 y.o.) had a great 5-night stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Aruba in July 2014. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Though paying the base rate for an island view room, at check-in we were upgraded to an available ocean view room with a nice little balcony because we are IHG Rewards members. The hotel's standard rooms with 2 double beds are not large but not tiny, and the 4 of us did just fine sharing its single bathroom and TV. Of course, we spent a lot of time at the hotel's beach, pools, bars, and fitness center. This hotel has the BEST location on Aruba's beautiful Palm Beach, in the center of the action and directly across from Paseo Herencia open air mall on Aruba's main oceanside road. There are many restaurants and activities from which to choose in the hotel's immediate area. We enjoyed not needing a rental car, using taxis to and from the airport and walking most everywhere else we wanted to go. Though no fault of this particular hotel, be aware that the Aruba government's hotel and tourist taxes amount to about 25% added to your room rate wherever you stay.
