LOCAL CULTURE

Beniimo Sweet Potato

In 1604, Mr NOGUNI, a crew of trading boat from Okinawa to China, brought a nursery tree of sweet potato from China. Since then, it spread to all over Japan, and in Okinawa it is called “Beniimo” (Beni means red, Imo means potato) from its vivid redish purple color. This color comes from the substance called “anthocyanin”, that is effective for cancer prevention, arteriosclerosis prevention and antioxidative.
ENJOY AN OKINAWAN PARADISE ON THE EAST CHINA SEA

Our hotel is in a great place from which to explore Shuri Castle, vibrant Nakayukui Market or the Onna Village Museum.

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor service When I drove my car to this hotel, there was no one in front door. My wife and me, we need to move our luggauges out of the trunk and then push them into the lobby. Really poor experience. The service broke our heart during our honeymoon. 04 February 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by excellent My family enjoyed the stay a lot. Location is quite exclusive and quiet. beach is clean and neat (and beautiful). will definitely come back here. 23 January 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk unpleasant As a IHG member, I was expecting, at least, fair service from the group hotel. Assigned room was said partial ocean view but it was actually half view room, half of window is blocked by entrance roof, clearly the worst room in the entire hotel, and I asked to change but front desk personnel refused to change it. The hotel was not even half full, and obviously non-member guests were assigned to upper floor or other section of the hotel. I believe that was grossly unfair treatment and front personnel clearly told me "thank you being IHG member" it was sound even ironic. Restaurants were great and sports activity staffs are great, I enjoyed. PS: For the reference, I still has not received any IHG points from stays and expenses, over $1,000, from this hotel. 18 July 2013
