Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disapointing I stayed 7 nights at the Intercontinental Vienna. I am an Ambassador member and a frequent Intercontinental customer where I am used to have excellent experiences. But the Vienna Intercontinental was disapointing. It all started with our arrival, met by a grumpy porter that did not even say good afternoon. Next, we found that there was no internet service and we did not have it for three days! The suggestion to address this issue was that I could walk a few blocks to a McDonalds or a Starbucks. Then, there was no concierge service after 6pm neither on Saturday or Sunday. Our experience with the Lobby bar was terrible the first night; we tried to sit at a table and a waiter rudely told us that the table was taken; then we sat at the bar and for 15 minutes were totally ignored, then we moved to a table and after 20 minutes we left because nobody even came close to serve us. And finally one day they did not even complete the cleaning of our room; toilet paper roll was left on the floor of the bathroom, they did not take away or replace used glasses and empty water bottles. On the plus side, the location was very good, the room was comfortable and large and the gym was pretty good. Net, the Intercontinental Vienna did not feel like an Intercontinental property at all, very different from all of our previous experiences in other hotels of the chain. 03 September 2014
