2X Unlimited | Terms & Conditions
To participate in the ‘2X Unlimited’ Promotion (the ‘Promotion’), an individual must have an active, valid IHG One Rewards member account and must register for the Promotion. Members can pre-register for this Promotion from 17 December 2024 until 31 December 2024 (the ‘Pre-Registration Period’). Members will be able to stay and earn IHG One Rewards bonus points under this Promotion beginning on 1 January 2025 and ending on 31 March 2025 (the ‘Promotion Period’). Members who did not register during the Pre-Registration Period may register for the Promotion during the Promotion Period. A member can only register once. By registering for the Promotion, a member accepts these Terms & Conditions.
After registering for the Promotion, a member can earn 2X points beginning on their second qualifying stay and each qualifying stay thereafter, during the Promotion Period. For the purposes of this Promotion, a ‘Qualifying Stay’ is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding USD $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night. As stated, the ‘Promotion Period’ is from 1 January 2025 until 31 March 2025. Room nights outside of the Promotion Period are not included, and room nights that are part of a stay which was completed prior to registration for the Promotion are also not included. Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for the purposes of this Promotion. Bookings made through online travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com also do not qualify under this Promotion. (For additional details on Qualifying Rates, please see the full IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions.) If more than one member who registered for the Promotion checks into the same room, only one member is eligible to earn points under the Promotion for those nights that qualify. If a member books more than one room on the same night, the member will receive credit towards this Promotion for only one of the rooms that also meets the requirements of a qualifying room night under the Promotion.
For the 2X Unlimited Promotion, earning ‘2X’ or ‘2X points’ on stays until 31 March 2025 means the total number of regular ‘base points’ and promotional ‘bonus points’ combined will equal two (2) times the base points the member would normally receive just for being an IHG One Rewards member. For example, under the 2X Unlimited Promotion, for a one-night Qualifying Stay with a room rate of $100.00 at an IHG hotel with a 10 points per USD earn rate for base points, the member would earn 1,000 base points (10 points x $100 = 1,000 points) and an additional 1,000 promotional bonus points, for a total of 2,000 points. The promotional bonus points under this Promotion are calculated based solely on the base points the member is eligible to earn for a Qualifying Stay just for being an IHG One Rewards member, and any Elite status bonus points or any other bonus or promotional points the member may be eligible to receive for the same stay are not included.
A member’s participation in the IHG One Rewards programme and this Promotion is subject to the standard IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, which can be obtained here or by visiting ihgonerewards.com. The bonus points awarded through this Promotion are not Elite status qualifying under the IHG One Rewards programme. IHG One Rewards benefits are generally available at all IHG® Hotels & Resorts and other partner hotels participating in the programme, with exceptions for the following brands:
Six Senses® Hotels Resorts Spas: IHG One Rewards points may be earned or redeemed for stays but other benefits may not be available. (Note some hotels do not participate in IHG One Rewards.)
Iberostar Beachfront Resorts: Members can now earn and redeem IHG One Rewards points for Reward Nights at participating Iberostar Beachfront Resorts. (The portfolio of Iberostar Beachfront Resorts excludes any interests in Cuba.)

IHG may withdraw points from a member’s account if they were deposited into the member’s account in error and may revoke all points in a member’s account if the member abuses the IHG One Rewards programme, including but not limited to abuse of the point redemption process. IHG expressly reserves the right to remove a member’s points, downgrade their status or cancel their account if fraudulent activity in connection with the Promotion is detected, and any fraudulent or other prohibited activity relating to a member’s account, this Promotion, restricted rate offerings or the IHG One Rewards programme is subject to the IHG One Rewards Membership Terms and Conditions, including any of the identified actions that may be taken in response to such activity. To the extent permitted by applicable law, IHG’s interpretation of the scope and application of the Promotion and these Terms and Conditions will control, and IHG also reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Promotion. This Promotion is valid only for those who are eligible to participate and who registered for the Promotion, and such eligibility or participation cannot be transferred or conveyed. Any enquiries concerning this Promotion must be made by 31 May 2025.

2X Unlimited Promotion | FAQs
IHG One Rewards members who register for the 2X Unlimited Promotion can earn IHG One Rewards bonus points based on the number of qualifying stays they have during the Promotion Period. Members who register for the Promotion will earn double points on a qualifying stay, when they stay two or more times throughout the Promotion Period. This promotion is available to all IHG One Rewards members with an active, valid account.
The Pre-Registration Period for IHG One Rewards members begins on 17 December 2024 and ends on 31 December 2024. Members can pre-register for this promotion during this Pre-Registration Period.
Members can earn double points on qualifying room night stays during the Promotion Period, which is from 1 January 2025 until 31 March 2025. The Promotion Period is when members can stay and earn promotional bonus points under this Promotion.
Members who did not pre-register can also register during the Promotion Period.

A member earning ‘2X’ or ‘2X points’ or ‘double points’ means the total number of regular ‘base points’ and promotional ‘bonus points’ combined will equal two (2) times the ‘base points’ the member would normally receive just for being an IHG One Rewards member. For example, if a member’s qualifying 1st stay is a one-night stay at a Qualifying Rate of $100.00/night at an IHG hotel with a 10 points per USD earn rate for base points, the member earns 1,000 base points (10 points x $100.00 = 1,000 points) and then they will earn an additional 1,000 bonus points in the 2X Unlimited promotion, for a combined total of 2,000 points.
Members have unlimited earning potential during this Promotion Period starting on their second stay.
Promotional bonus points under the 2X Unlimited promotion will be awarded based on the number of base points the member is eligible to receive for each qualifying night under the Promotion as described in the preceding FAQ, whether the member is an Elite status member or not.
For Elite members, the Elite bonus is determined separately using only the base points earned on the stay and does not include any promotional bonus points from the 2X Unlimited promotion.
Example - A Diamond Elite member completes their first Qualifying Stay at a participating IHG® Hotels & Resorts property with a 10 points per USD earn rate for base points. The stay is two qualifying nights long and the member spends $100 on each night. The Diamond Elite member will earn a total of 6,000 IHG One Rewards points with this promotion, as outlined below:
2X the points for the qualifying nights under the promotion results in a total of 4,000 points: the base points earned (i.e. the points the member receives for their stay just for being an IHG One Rewards member) at 10 points per USD X $100 X 2 nights = 2,000 Base Points + an additional 2,000 Promotional Bonus Points earned by the member for the 2X Unlimited promotion, for a total of 4,000 points.
Then for also being a Diamond Elite Member, the member would earn, separately, their 100% Elite bonus on the 2,000 Base Points earned = 2,000 Elite Bonus Points.
The combined total of the above is: 4,000 points (2,000 base points + 2,000 promotional bonus points) + 2,000 Elite bonus points = 6,000 total points.
For purposes of the Promotion, a ‘Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stay’ is defined as a minimum one (1) night stay at a participating hotel booked under a Qualifying Rate, with total spend exceeding US $30 (or local currency equivalent) for each night.
Participating hotels include all IHG® Hotels & Resorts, with the exception of those Six Senses® Hotels Resorts Spas and Iberostar Beachfront Resorts that do not participate in IHG One Rewards.
Stays booked using Rewards Nights or Points & Cash, and bookings made through online travel agencies or other reservation sites such as booking.com or expedia.com, are not Promotion Eligible Qualifying Stays for the purposes of this Promotion.
If more than one member who registered for the Promotion checks into the same room, only one member is eligible to earn points under the Promotion for those nights that qualify. If a member books more than one room on the same night, the member will receive credit towards this Promotion for only one of the rooms that also meets the requirements of a qualifying room night under the Promotion.

Qualifying Rates include most business and leisure rates, such as Advanced Purchase rates, Best Flexible rates, Global sales negotiated rates (including but not limited to Corporate Gold rates), national/regional/local government rates, and specified leisure rates as confirmed by IHG’s reservation systems. In Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Greater China hotels and resorts, Qualifying Rates include all locally negotiated rates. No, there is no limit set for the number of bonus points a member can earn. A member can earn points under the Promotion throughout the Promotion Period when they complete two or more Qualifying Stays during the promotion period.
The points earned during the 2X Unlimited Promotion can be used toward Reward Nights, can be redeemed for merchandise, or can be used for other redemption opportunities, as permitted under the IHG One Rewards programme.
On-property IHG One Rewards benefits are generally available at all IHG® Hotels & Resorts and other partner hotels participating in the IHG One Rewards programme, with exceptions for the following brands:
