Grossmünster: Old monumental Protestant Church

The Grossmünster in Zurich is a monumental Protestant church in the Old Town of Zurich. A landmark steeped in history, it was the key site of the Swiss Reformation; here, historical documents come to life. Construction of the present building began around 1100. It was consecrated around 1220. Its twin towers are iconic and offer stunning views of the city and Lake Zurich as you climb the 187 steps to the viewing platform. Inside, you'll find unique stained glass windows by artist Sigmar Polke.

Landesmuseum Zürich: Cultural history collection
