Really Disappointed

The Shampoo and Conditioner bottles were EMPTY!! I assume they had been with the previous guest as well. The wall mount was ripped off the wall and the pump removed from the bottles due to someone trying to get enough to wash!!
The pillows were as hard as rocks!!

The check-in person was extremely nice. She tried to correct any issues that we had. The room we booked had been double booked. Was told to go to the room, but to knock first to make surebit was empty. It smelled and the person who was staying there still had old food and drinks all over. They were able to switch our room. The 2nd night, our keys stopped working. Had to get new keys again. We had to request sheets for the sofa bed since there were none, and also for towels since there were not enough. The breakfast was not good. Overall, I give the stay as an "ok" stay. Would probably not stay there again.

This hotel does not take Covid seriously

You'll love this hotel is you're an anti-masker. We regretted our stay and did not feel safe. In direct conflict with posted policy, the front desk receptionist did not wear her mask, not even when waiting on me, a customer wearing hers. With policy not being enforced and staff setting a bad example, the majority of guests did not wear masks in the lobby area, and the breakfast server just had hers dangling from one ear, so we left and got breakfast from a Starbucks.

The room was fairly clean, just some grime in bathroom corners. Beds were comfortable and clean, room dark for sleeping. One TV's remote didn't work to change channels so it was stuck on Fox News. The other TV was nothing but static and it took us awhile to fix it because the remote didn't have input buttons and it needed to be set to HDMI 1. Sink stopper in the bathroom was missing and the kitchenette sink was backed up. The main door stuck badly and it was loud forcing your way in and out. Little things need attention. Nothing we would call the front desk about for a 1 night stay, especially with Covid concerns.

I did not say anything to the receptionist about wearing her mask. Her manager had already been unwilling to give us a room away from the elevator, and with the current political climate and the attitudes I was sensing, it seemed we could be dealing with retaliation if we complained about anything.

Room Cleaned Prior to 2:00pm Checkout During 2-stays

During 10/3/20-10/4/20 stay I was granted a 2:00pm checkout: however, upon returning to room to take a shower identified that room was cleaned but my belongs was still in room. Went to front desk to speak to a manager (None on location) so the housekeeping lead was requested to front desk. She shared that she told person cleaning room to not touch my belongings and did not know she was going to clean room. I shared that I was the same person that had a 2:00pm checkout during my 09/11/20-09/12/20 stay and they cleaned the room prior to my return and removed my personal items. During the 09/11/20-09/12/20 visit the front desk person called the housekeeping lead who brought my bag and stated that is why we bring these down into secure location. 09/12/20 - The front desk worker ask the housekeeping lead if she had erased the 2:00pm checkout off the board again. The same parties were involved with both checkouts: therefore the front desk worker remembered me and provided me with the manager's number of which I had in the pouch with the keys. The housekeeping lead was nonchalant about both situations. The front desk person gave me the perception that this has happened in the pass. I contacted the manager who was on vacation and stated that she would call me to discuss situation but has not received call (She may have forgotten). This is serious situations, I am glad that I removed my laptop and other electronics prior to traveling to parents home. I usually don't write reviews but this situation needs to be addressed. Don't think anyone should be fired but guidelines should reviewed and implemented. This was very disappointing as a Spire Elite member.
