As a regular user of IHG hotels I was disappointed with my stay this time in Bangkok. Whilst the location of the hotel is excellent and the room was clean and tidy, there was a lot of very loud noise as the roof received some maintenance work. This consisted of heavy hammering and drilling which started at 8.00 am. After reporting the noise to reception I was, at the least, expecting some sort of feedback and even perhaps the work being postponed until a more reasonable time. Unfortunately the noise continued and no information received from the staffIt was only upon check out that I was finally told the reason. The staff did not really seem to care too much to be honest.
Also, only one lift was working.
Reckon the policy of allowing work to proceed at unreasonable times and the staff need training to higher standards in customer relations and communications
