Monster-hunters have to visit Loch Ness, which begins eight miles from the hotel. If you don't want to drive there, you can enjoy the view from the water on a boat run by Jacobite Cruises from Tomnahurich Bridge, four miles away by car. Even if you don't catch sight of the legendary 'Nessie' lurking in the depths, you can still climb to the ruins of Urquhart Castle on the loch's forested banks.
