The Hall of Steel shows weapons and helmets in an impressive multi-storey skylit display.
Set in parkland at 18th-century Bretton Hall, the Yorkshire Sculpture Park shows work by major British and international artists, both in the open air and indoors. Don't Go Home Without
The Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House is only two miles from the hotel. Its twin spires tower overhead and the soaring auditorium has ornate Gothic adornments and glistening crystal chandeliers. Settle in to comfy velveteen seats in the mezzanine, or opt for box seats, as Victorian socialites did in the late 1800s, to enjoy opera, ballet, comedy or a family musical.
You can catch international bands and big-name comedians at the First Direct Arena, 10 minutes' drive from the hotel. The huge venue hosts concerts by artists such as Elton John and Bruce Springsteen, major family shows and ice dance performances. If sport is more your style, join thousands of fans for a rugby or cricket match at Headingley Carnegie Stadium, 15 minutes' drive away.
