Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Had High Hopes... :-( Initially, I was excited about using this hotel. As a director of a HS dance company, the initial contact with the hotel to set up our stay was great! I had booked 6 rooms. After our arrival, I knew I would not return to this hotel. It took a long time to check in when we arrived. 2 rooms were not ready. The hallways were extremely hot. A/C was not on or not working. Hot tub was brown. There was a water hose running across the pavement to the hot tub filling it. The roof/cover over the drive at the front doors was leaking water through the plaster from the rain. The fake fireplace in the eating area had a big hole in the plastic logs, apparently from the light melting it. In my room, the lever on top of the tub faucet, to make the water come out of the shower head, did not work properly. It did not completely allow the water to come out of the shower head... about 50/50. Apparently, there had been some upgrades, but the accent wall in my room was not cut in properly by the painter, so brown paint was also on the white ceiling. The sound proofing between rooms & hall was not good. You could clearly hear conversations, etc. One of our adults was kept up during the night by the room next to her snoring. I did not complain about any of theses issues. I take in the experience, and make a decision on whether to use this hotel again. If management wanted return guests, so many issues would not exist. The main reason for this review is the following... I was contacted by the the manager the day after leaving the hotel regarding reimbursement for wash clothes & hand towels that were soiled when my dancers removed their make up. I have been traveling to dance competitions for almost 30 years & never received a call like this. Yes, there was a small complimentary pack of make up remover wipes in the bathrooms... along with shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. There was NO signage asking "please do not use towels to remove makeup, please use make up wipes provided." I asked about the signage. I was informed that a sign could not be posted, because corporate would not allow it. I asked... how was I supposed to know to use the wipes, instead of my make up remover & wash cloth. I was told.. I SHOULD HAVE USED MY COMMON SENSE. What? I could not believe what I was hearing! I told the manager I would pay for the towels, but I would be coming to Pearland to pick up the soiled/stained towels I was purchasing. I was informed the towels would be discarded. If I am paying for a product, soiled or not, I want what I am paying for... After being on hold for about 7 minutes, the manager stated I would not be paying for the towels, because his housekeeper did not take a picture of the towels. I was informed she would be reprimanded. All I can say is WOW! May 1, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not so great  we arrived at 3 she checked us in only thing she spoke to us was name and credit card then asked how many cards we needed. We went upstairs our room was open there were workers in hall ways we asked if they were done with out room it smelled really stale they told us they had to run air machine's in it?  So we put our stuff right by door and left. We drove around town went to Walmart and picked up food. Our children 1 and 3 were very cranky from traveling and being in the car. We went up to out room right before 6. The machine were still in our room and smelled horrible. The floors were wet that's is what the machine's were for. We went down stairs and feed them in the dining area. Went to front desk to get another room other guests were saying the night before they had a storm come through and rain came up through the a/c.  We were behind some people trying to get a room and they were all booked. I got on the phone called 2other hotels and all were booked because we were going to leave. The lady at front desk was busy with the others a lady next to her which was over housekeeping asked what we needed I said our room still has the machines in the rooms she said they would have then removed. We didn't have a choice but stay with no other rooms anywhere. Not once did they apologize or even tell us what the problem was they didn't even try to spray and cover the smell. The floor was wet so we tried as best as possible to keep our little ones off including toys. Worst experience I've ever had. Very upset because I know the great quality of the holiday Inn chains. I know that the act of weather cannot be helped but the way it was handled was wrong.  April 22, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Experience All-Around I stayed at this location for a business trip and was thoroughly disappointed with my experience. I have stayed at many Holiday Inn Express' on my travels and know what to expect (I seek out IHG for business trips). This location unfortunately falls short. First, after arriving I was held up during the check-in process for approximately 30 minutes by the front-desk manager who gave little consideration into timeliness of getting me checked in and letting me on my way. After check-in, I was met with a dingy warmth of the 2nd floor which I was located and did not eventually subside. Lastly, my room did not have hot water in the shower. Too late to want to deal with maintenance, I called the front-desk to see if another room was available. The front-desk clerk (female and not the same as who checked me in) was apologetic for there being no other rooms, took my number, and stated the manager would call me the next day due to my experience. I still have yet to receive a call from Holiday Inn Express Pearland for this disastrous stay. April 20, 2015

The hotel staff here were all very friendly and helpful, the hotel is very nice, my daughter loved the breakfast they offered, and the room was in good condition. April 16, 2015
