Only advantage was the location, which is great. Our stay started off with being charged over $150 over what was specifically stated on our reservation. The first 2 employees said they did not know why, and finally a manager said it was some vague amenity fee, which they could not show me anywhere on my reservation or booking where that was stated.
The hotel itself was clean but not well taken care of. 1 working elevator with stairs that only took you directly outside. Our tv didn't work for the first few days we were there, pillows were made out of paper, and our fridge never worked while we were there.
Location is superb, but I could look out my window and see at least 3 other hotels with the same location we will definitely explore next time.
Very disappointed in our stay.

Enjoyed the stay. Clean room, helpful staff, and nice evening reception. They also offer pet beds and a bowl for free if you bring your pet. We didn’t this time but have in the past.
Hot, dark room

Our room was so poorly lit, then the A/C broke in 90 degree weather. They gave us fans to try to cool the room since they were fully booked and could not move us to a new room. Try sleeping in a hot room with no proper ventilation, it was horrible. The next day we were ready to move to a new hotel when a room suddenly became available. They gave us a $100 credit toward their restaurant but because we had already made plans and had reservations, we could only use a portion for breakfast at checkout, which was also just okay as far as food quality. Very disappointing stay for a Kimpton.
Quick visit to downtown Denver

We were in town for visiting family and sightseeing. Chose the Kimpton in part due to brand reputation, past experiences with Kimpton, and location (near the baseball stadium!). The staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The hotel was comfortable and the decor was wonderful.

We stayed one night at Hotel Monaco in downtown Denver during our vacation in Golden, specifically because they partner with RME shuttles to Red Rocks. It was absolutely worth it. The shuttle picked us up and dropped us off right at the hotel—super convenient and hassle-free.
The location is excellent, with restaurants, shops, Union Station, and Coors Field all within walking distance. Even for a short stay, it felt like we were right in the center of everything.
Staff was kind, attentive, and eager to help with anything we needed. If you're heading to a concert or just want a comfortable downtown stay, I highly recommend this hotel.

The amenities are extremely over priced and the the fees are hidden. This hotel should be investigated for terrible business practices

The room was comfortable and cozy, not all elevators were operable, restaurant server was friendly, but the order was wrong and when I asked to clarify what I received it was not what was ordered. No offer to correct it either. Very loud bartenders constantly banging. I would not recommend the bar for any type of conversation, head to the dining area. I know bars are usually louder due to chatter, the bartenders were aggressive though, this was not normal bar noise. Overall okay experience. The room comfort is the reason for my higher ratings. Will try another downtown hotel on our next visit.

If you are looking for a hotel right smack in the middle of it all yet off the madness enough....Kimpton is the place to go. Great hotel, lovely team, walking distance to most everything...very good gym...definitely our favourite hotel in Denver. Cannot wait to be back

The hotel is beautiful inside and out! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were so nice and welcoming, very clean and the temperature in the room was nice and cool for us when we got there. The location is perfect and just one block from the 16th Street Mall. If we go back to Denver this is definitely where we will stay again.
