Perfect location with a great view of the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff that answered every question with a smile. The hotel offered bikes to ride along the beach free of charge which made this even more enjoyable. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

I’m very disappointed in Holiday inn Galveston on the Beach, I have stayed here some 30 or 40 nights in the last 7 to 10 years. It’s the first time I have been charged fees being a GOLD ELITE member that y’all are so proud of for early check, parking, high floors, etc. I loved the place over the years, but it will be the last time.

Weekend Getaway - Yes Please!

We booked a little weekend getaway to relax and catch The Tracy Perez Band, and it ended up being one of the best trips we’ve had in a long time. The hotel was beautiful and welcoming, and our room was spotless and super comfortable — just what we needed to unwind.

The highlight of the trip was definitely the night at B. Jiggers. The Tracy Perez Band was unbelievable — their energy and talent were on another level, and the place was packed with not a single seat open. Even with such a big crowd, the bar staff and manager Joey kept everything running smoothly and made sure everyone was taken care of.
Between the amazing live music, the friendly staff, and the cozy hotel stay, this weekend was everything we hoped for and more. We’ll absolutely be coming back!

The pool area was beautiful and the rooms were clean and spacious. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it to others. We will be back in the future. Great location, directly across from the Gulf.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at this establishment, and while I encountered some challenges, I’d like to highlight both my experience and a standout employee, Ms. Yazman. Her exceptional personality and customer service truly stood out, and it's clear that she has the drive and knowledge to be a fantastic leader for the company.

Now, I'd like to share my concerns regarding my stay. After driving over seven hours to Galveston, TX, for a family cruise, I was looking forward to settling into my ocean view room. Upon arrival, Don greeted me with enthusiasm and informed me he was assigning me a room. However, the first room assigned (109) was a three-bedroom on the first floor, which wasn't what I had booked. Don then moved me to room 202, but unfortunately, it had an unpleasant odor, which made it difficult to enjoy my stay, especially after such a long journey.

Additionally, I was disappointed to find that I didn't receive the ocean view I had initially paid for. Instead, my view was blocked by the hotel's air conditioning unit. I believe it's essential for guests to receive what they have booked and paid for, as this can significantly impact their overall experience.

I appreciate the team's efforts and hope that these concerns can lead to improvements in guest room assignments and maintenance. Thank you for considering my feedback! The infrastructure of this establishment is depleted

For the price it was OK. It definitely isn’t a super nice place. The AC does not work well and the towels are dirty, but the bed was comfortable and the pillows were very comfortable I think next time I’ll pay just a little bit more to stay at the San Luis

The location is great with views of the beach. The lower floors do not all have great views. We were on 7 and had a beautiful view. We had friends on 2 with a view of the roof. Very clean with a nice pool area. My only negative is the front desk staff. They were not friendly or welcoming at all. They gave the impression that they didn’t really care for their job.

This place offers an excellent view of the oceanfront with good parking, a short walk to the beach, and restaurants nearby. The rooms are clean and have clean bathrooms, showers, and working AC. .

Unsatisfactory Stay with use of Cruise Package

Hotel room was disappointing, we had roaches noted in the room and the bathroom was not clean (dirty towels, hair clumps in shower and on the floor). When expressed to the front desk staff, they were rude and wondered why I didn’t take action until check out. I explained to the staff the roaches were noted prior to check out, and explained the issue with the bathroom and waiting for fresh towels, again comments from staff members were rude. I later called the manager and she gave some apology for issues with staff and my stay but was very short on phone and felt more focused on “my next stay” since I had to discuss issues from almost a week prior. We booked with the cruise package and the shuttle service was not at all on schedule. We ended up taking almost an hour to get to the port (when the hotel is 12 min drive, I was explained that it could take up to 45 min but the driver was late on arrival so we were very dry close to our allotted check in time for the cruise) and had to take an uber back to our car at the hotel after waiting for shuttle service for 30+ minutes and seeing no one coming and going. When asking other shuttle service drivers that were through the same company, they were very rude and immediately upon walking over to them stated “whatever you are going to ask I can’t help you.” The driver of the shuttle at the time of drop off gave us blocks of time he would be at the port for pick up, we were at the designated location at the start of block time one until the end of the block and he was not there at all during the times given. For the amount of money paid for the “cruise service/ hotel bundle” it was a scam. The manager was able to refund a very small amount towards not using the shuttle service on the way back and some off for parking as when making the reservation no additional fee was explained and no documents were sent over with information over pricing despite asking at the time of reservation (which also took over 2 weeks to find someone who knew how to complete). Overall we had a very poor experience (from initial booking process, to stay, to use of the cruise package), we will not be using the cruise package again through this establishment or staying at this hotel for any further travel within Galveston.
