Clean, Comfortable, and Good Value

We enjoy are stay. Ample large towels, clean room, comfortable beds, personable staff, good amenities, and the WiFi was great. 24-coffee and tea. Water bottle refilled with still and sparkling water. Breakfast was fine for something quick. Would definitely recommend.

Hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. Only complaint was the traffic from a major intersection and lots of ambulance traffic from the nearby medical center. Possibly was just my particular room location. Overall it wasn’t just terrible.

We enjoyed our stay. We was on our way to our cruise in Port Canaveral it was only 2 hours away so it was perfect for us.

Stayed here for one night. Hotel is clean! There is no hot breakfast, which I didn’t mind. The only thing that made my stay unpleasant was the inconvenience of not having a microwave in the room. That is my fault however for not checking prior to booking the room. This was my first time staying at an Avid hotel and I was traveling with an infant. Having to keep going down to the lobby to warm bottles was irritating. However, beside not having a microwave, the hotel is nice budget friendly accommodation and the staff was pleasant!

Convenient, affordable, no hassle, we stayed here to avoid the added traffic for weekend game in Gainesville. This was in a decent area. Bed was comfortable, tv would not connect, there was no one to fix, does not really affect anything.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times in the past however there was so much different this time, whatever the hotel has done with management and the overall expierence at this hotel has changed for the better so much! I have never felt so welcome in any of my previous stays.

Another regrettable expwriwnce at rhe Avid

This is the second time in the last month that I have stayed at the Avid hotel while in town for business, and unfortunately, I had another regrettable experience.

Upon check-in, I specifically confirmed with the young lady with red hair (not to be confused with the general manager) that room service was included. She assured me it was, so I clearly communicated that I wanted room service during my stay. The next morning, before leaving for the day, I again confirmed that room service would be available when I returned around 5 PM.

However, when I returned at about 5:15 PM, there was no room service waiting. I went back downstairs to inform a young black lady at the bathroom service desk. Eventually, a housekeeper came by, but by then I was on conference calls and unable to receive service. This is not the first time I’ve stayed here, but the hotel does not seem to uphold the high standards of cleanliness and service advertised on the sign in front of the elevators. This level of service is disappointing, and I believe a discount or some form of compensation would be appropriate.

Additionally, on the second and third days of my stay, the water dispenser on the hospitality counter was not functioning. Staff seemed unaware of the problem and simply offered bottled water instead. While I understand equipment can break, having the same issue unresolved two days in a row, with no clear explanation, is unacceptable—especially for a brand-new hotel.

On the morning of my checkout, I used the online service but then had to return to my room to take a call from 12 to 1 PM. When I called the front desk to ask if this was possible, I was placed on hold for a long time only to be told the room had already been cleaned at 9:30 AM. It is concerning that housekeeping can “clean” a room so quickly after checkout but does not seem to accommodate guests who are still occupying the room.
