At a seven-minute drive from Anthelia, Aqualand Costa Adeje is one of the easier half-days to organise without a car. The park has a mix of high-speed slides, a wave pool, and gentler rides that work well for younger children. It is big enough to fill a full day if you want or easy to combine with a beach morning if you want to keep things moving. Booking tickets online in advance saves time at the gate, particularly during peak summer weeks.

The forty-minute drive from the hotel to Teide National Park is part of the experience. From the coast, the road climbs through terrain that changes dramatically as the altitude rises, eventually reaching a landscape that looks more like the moon than southern Spain. Mount Teide stands at 3,715 metres, the highest point in Spain. A cable car runs close to the summit, though walking to the top requires a permit booked well in advance.

Masca sits in a narrow gorge in the Teno massif, a forty-minute drive from Anthelia. The village is quiet and worth seeing on its own, but the main draw is the gorge trail: a challenging descent through volcanic rock that ends at a small beach reachable only by boat. Advance booking is required, and the hike demands a reasonable level of fitness. One of the more memorable days available from Costa Adeje, and a true highlight for active guests.

Puerto Colón Marina is a ten-minute drive from Anthelia and the main departure point for whale and dolphin watching excursions along the Tenerife coast. The waters around Costa Adeje are home to resident populations of pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins year-round, making sightings highly reliable. The marina also runs boat tours, fishing trips, and water sports rentals, with options ranging from family-friendly cruises to private charters for smaller groups.
