We had a pleasant stay on April 17th. The front desk was very helpful and knowledge. The check was smooth and quick. We ordered a room service. The food was hot and delicious. We only stayed one night and did not get a chance to use other services. But I am sure they have the same quality. The hotel was in a good location and was beautiful. The room was comfortable.

Intercontinental in Park lane is ideal for a visit to the UK capital , the staff are great , the location is great and please try the cocktails in the bar , yes you have guessed it they are great too.............

Disappointed Spire Ambassador!!!

I have just returned from a trip to London & Paris with my wife & daughter

Being an Ambassador Spire member, I have booked a Deluxe Room at the Intercontinental Park Lane Hotel in London

A couple of days before traveling, I have called up the hotel & asked them if I could be upgraded to a Suite because of my status & they informed me that this would be requested but subject to availability

Upon arrival at the hotel (around 13:30), I was informed by the agent checking me in that my room wasn’t ready yet & that I had to wait for about an hour. I told him that I needed the room at the earliest because I had pre-booked plans & that I had to leave the hotel in a hurry; he then said that he had suites that were available but wanted me to pay around 380 Pounds difference per night, so I informed him that I had already called the hotel & they said that I could be upgraded to Suite if there was availability but he said that there was nothing he could do about it, instead, he offered me a safe to put my valuable in as I had to rush myself out of the hotel

Once we returned, I was given my room cards… When we got in, there weren’t any welcome amenities as there should have been so I called them up & asked for them. I left the hotel again & returned in the late afternoon to see a note that they have attempted to deliver my welcome amenities but weren’t able to do so (although there was no “do not disturb” sign hanging out) so I called them again & asked them to send them back.

On the 2nd morning, there wasn’t a newspaper on my door & they didn’t put any newspaper on any morning. While I was leaving the hotel, on the 2nd day, I told them about the welcome amenities & they said that they’ll be sending them (which they did on this day)

When we returned in the afternoon, I wanted to have a coffee, but unfortunately, neither the coffee nor the tea were replenished from the previous day so I had to call again & they sent 3 capsules of coffee without sending the tea & they never replenished the coffee or tea since

I haven’t received a bottle of water daily as I should have up till the last day when I had to ask for one

On the other hand, the concierge service was very good & the waiters & manager at the lobby bar were very nice

Maybe for a regular guest, things would’ve seemed to be ok, however for an Ambassador Spire member, this stay for a huge disappointment… I do expect to have the highest level of attention & upgrades, whenever I’m staying at any IHG hotel especially when it comes to Intercontinental… Being in London, I expected attention to detail to be even better than anywhere else but was really disappointed… I have never stayed at an Intercontinental Hotel & been so disappointed knowing that I’ve stayed in tens of Intercontinental hotels all over the world

We stayed two nights in the Intercontinental on Park Lane. It is a perfect location for exploring central London and the staff were outstanding in every way. We received a warm welcome and the room was very comfortable. We thoroughly recommend this hotel and we will always choose IHG as they have never disappointed us.

Not well organized, billing mistake

The hotel didn't deliver us the interconnecting room, although they promised. Also, they mistakenly charged my credit card for over $500. After I called twice, they finally fixed the problem.

Financial people to smart

Having paid my stay with redeemed points and cash is unbelivable. The Hotel didn't had the right to charge my Credit Card as my Reservation was made with redeem points.

OUTSTANDING

I stayed at the hotel when receiving an MBE at Buckingham Palace, it made the special occasion even more memorable. The staff were truly outstanding, I just wish I had taken their names to mention them specifically. We also had afternoon tea and champagne after the palace, I can't recommend this enough, they even made me a cake to celebrate the event. The whole experience from arrival to departure was exceptional. We had our elderly parents with us and our 2 son's; they loved it.

The staff make it better than a 5 star hotel.
