Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great staff and service My wife and I stayed here for 1 night, checking in on 21/2/15. The check in went very smoothly. Our bags were delivered to our room a few minutes after getting into our room. We had some pre dinner drinks at the Market Lane Bar and the lady who served us was very friendly and delivered our drinks quickly. We then had dinner at the Alluvial Restaurant. Again the staff were very friendly and attentive. Our meals were very well presented and tasted great. When we checked out the next morning, everything went smoothly. When we went outside to leave, the concierge quickly got a taxi for us. My wife and I got into the back seat, and then something I never expected - the concierge went to the front passenger seat and pulled it forward so I had more legroom in the back - fantastic. We'll certainly be back. 24 February 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely stay in beautiful surroundings. We stayed a night at the Rialto and used valet parking and buffet breakfast. Everything was as you would expect from a 5 star hotel and all the staff we came in contact with were efficient at their jobs and friendly and welcoming. The location is good, on Collins Street with enough parking at the front that we could pull up and give our keys to the staff for parking. We were attending a function for the Bali Street Dog foundation that night in one of their conference rooms so we did not have to venture out of the hotel, but went to one of the bars for a drink and nibbles before the function. Bar staff were great, function staff were also great and I believe they were also Rialto staff. Our nights sleep was wonderful in a very comfortable bed, I rang housekeeping for a couple of latex pillows and these were delivered quickly by a happy staff. The next morning breakfast was varied and plentiful, the buffet is spread over a wide area with a room for hot and cold selections like eggs, sausages, bacon, cold cuts, fruits etc etc and stands out in the middle of the tables with fruit juices, danishes, coffee and tea, toasters etc. Lots of staff to assist if you wanted. Check out was easy, loved the stay. (I won the door prize at the function we attended, a night at the same hotel with dinner at the Guy Rossi restaurant on the premises, so I now look forward to using that with all its inclusions!) 21 February 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extraordinary service a superb five star hotel experience. This hotel has so many good features not least it's staff. We were unfortunate in so much that my wife was taken ill during our stay. Luckily James from concierge helped us throughout.He stayed with us whilst awaiting the ambulance and was a real star. He even sent flowers to the hospital ward for my wife to cheer her up,which was so appreciated by us both. The hospital staff said this was a first for them and they were very impressed at the care taken by James and the hotel management. Once my wife was given the all clear after a night in hospital we returned to a very concerned staff who went out of their way to be kind and considerate. Of course the hotel is 5 stars and deservedly so. Everything was great with the rest of our six night stay and you can be sure we will return when we next visit Melbourne. 19 February 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Room, Wonderful Hotel Staff From when you walk into the hotel, through to the rooms the Intercontinental Rialto is what is expected from this style of hotel. The Club Lounge has exceptional Staff who cater for what ever is need. 19 February 2015
