Ford's Theatre is a theater located in Washington, D.C., which opened in August 1863. The theater is infamous for being the site of the assassination of Abraham Lincoln. National Mall

Run or walk around the National Mall. It stretches for over two miles (three kilometers) from the Lincoln Memorial on the western border to the U.S. Capitol on the east. Just ten minutes away from Willard InterContinental Washington, D.C. The Mall is where most of the Smithsonian Museums and Memorials are located.

United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum is the United States' official memorial to the Holocaust. Adjacent to the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the USHMM provides for the documentation, study, and interpretation of Holocaust history. Old Town Trolley Tour

The Old Town Trolley tour has been designed to provide you with a bird's eye view of Washington, D.C. The trolleys are very much like the old New Orleans trolleys and have open sides during the summer months. This is a great way to get to all the memorials and museums. They depart from just outside Willard InterContinental Washington, D.C. every 15 to 20 minutes. Tip: Make sure you buy your tickets beforehand. You can get your tickets from the Concierge desk.

Washington Monument

This is the tallest stone structure in the world and it has great views from the top. It opens at 8:45 a.m. for distribution of free, same day, timed tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Or check availability and make advance reservations at recreation.gov or by calling +1 877 444 6777. Though there is no admission fee for the Washington Monument, there is a non-refundable $1.00 service charge per advance ticket.
