Better then 2nd time around!!

Our first stay did not go as well as our second stay. Even so, we'd recommend our hotel. After voicing concerns regarding our first stay, Melanie, asst. guest services manager, went above and beyond to ensure our second stay was excellent, including reaching out to us.

A marker of high quality customer service is the ability to ensure a better experience for a customer once a complaint or concern has been lodged. This hotel and Melanie accomplished this by ensuring that during our second stay we had a room which better suited our needs. We were even greeted by a handwritten note from her and a cheese platter (greatly appreciated as we'd missed our dinner due to multiple airline delays).

We were impressed with the hotel's (specifically Melanie) willingness to turn this into a much better experience for us. We will stay here again.

Do note that on one Friday a month they host concerts in the lobby. If you're an early -to-bed type, you might prefer a higher floor to ensure a quieter room. The rooms are updated with updated decor and furniture. We found our 7th floor room clean and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is sizable. Television is excellent. You do not hear guests on either side of your room, but you will hear guests standing just outside of your door. Overall, we found it sufficiently quiet on our floor.

The restaurant was pretty good when we ate dinner there our first evening. We did not eat breakfast there, but did enjoy the coffee in our room. The hotel is directly across from Natick Mall and within 10 minutes of Wellesley College.

Staff was wonderful

I stayed during the week of 10/20 and had a luggage mix-up prior to arriving at the hotel. The staff took time to help me work through the mix-up .... including making sure I made it to stores I needed, checking in with the Logan Express bus station to see if anyone else had called about the luggage mix-up, contacting other hotels in the area to see if anyone had reported having the wrong suitcase and contacting the airlines.

Beyond that extreme situation, everyone was helpful and friendly at all times. I have not experienced that high level of friendliness and service at one business in a long time.
