Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Remote location With Poor Transport Options The hotel was very remote. It had no restaurant, no pool and the shuttle ran once an hour (the shuttle drivers were very considerate and likeable). Transportation to the city involved taking the shuttle to a public tram, which was okay, but the last shuttle run was at 10:00, so you had to leave the city by 9:00. One bright spot was the woman (sorry, don't know her name) that worked on the front desk, she was quite pleasant. The room itself was fine. 13. November 2014

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Super enjoyable stay at this hotel. Just to say thank you for a superb stay at this hotel, from the minute I rang the hotel for the courtesy bus ride from and to the airport. Reception staff very pleasant and welcoming, room spacious clean and welcoming. The views from my window on the 2nd floor was awesome. I will definitely come back to stay at this lovely hotel. Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Good hotel, but it is not close to Geneva airport! It is in France, which is not clear from the website, when you book from abroad. There are long lines to pass the border and the shuttle is very infrequent. Very inconvenient for early morning flights. 15. September 2014
Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Quiet accommodation with transport to airport. We booked a triple room for the night before our flight. We were collected from Geneva airport on arrival from Annecy. Collection was quick and efficient and after breakfast the next day we were delivered to the airport in good time for our flight. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable although our air conditioning did not work. A short 10-15 minute walk delivered us to an amazing restaurant in Saint Genis ( le Coq Rouge) if you want to get out of the hotel for a break. Food is also available in the hotel. 14. September 2014
Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Dirty Rooms, uncoordinated staff information We gave this hotel 3 chances to get it right... unfortunately, our first impression was the correct one : AVOID THIS PROPERTY AT ALL COST !!! In a nutshell : sometimes understaffed, rooms need renovating and have problems (non-closing windows, safes don't work, dangerously-rickety furniture, old beds etc. etc. Rooms : moderately to disgustingly dirty. 1st stay : toilet hadn't been cleaned AT ALL. 2nd stay : toilet had been tentatively cleaned but we had to clean it again ourselves (seat had stains on it), sink : several dried blood stains amongst other various stains - staff were invited to witness the dirty state of the room for themselves. Breakfast (1st stay) : no bread, coffee machine broken, no charcuterie etc., ALL tables were dirty and piled, to various heights, with cups/plates/food/mess... staff was obviously over-worked and couldn't keep up with the demand. Moreover, my family and I were not, it seems, on the breakfast list - despite my booking 2 rooms on their bed and breakfast rate - and so they asked (from memory) for something like EURO 76 and for food/beverage that was not available !!! On our second stay, a stay supposedly to "show us what they could really do in the way of service and hospitality", we did not eat breakfast there, although it was included, we ate elsewhere as the cleanliness of the rooms didn't exactly instill us with confidence re. their behind-the-scenes hygiene standards. Being an IHG Platinum member, we received drinks vouchers (2nd stay) and so, of course, used them at the bar. The bar area was, to put it mildly, a complete mess - the shelves were not properly stocked, the display was non-existent and half of it looked like it was being used as a storage area. We thought about having a second beer but fortunately I looked at the drinks list before ordering : the (ordinary) draft beer was an astounding EURO 9.60 for 5 dl, which equates to a mind-blowing EURO 10.90 per pint ! This is by far the highest prices I have ever seen in any hotel anywhere. The hotel is MILES away from the nearest town but this shouldn't be a reason to quadruple normal prices. Last but not least, the infamous shuttle bus service. As we found out to our peril, this is, at best, hit and miss. We tried booking and re-confirming, many, many times, places on this but from the hotel to the airport. I understand places cannot be booked in advance FROM the airport TO the hotel (it is necessary to phone the hotel after luggage has been collected and then wait outside for them to pick you up) but I consider it an absolute necessity to be able to book the bus FROM the hotel to the airport, at the time of booking a room ! For most people, this is the deal-breaker... why would they consider staying at a hotel in the middle of nowhere if they cannot be guaranteed places in the bus in order to catch their flight ? It is only possible to book places in the bus DURING check-in at the hotel. If you sleep/park/go and stay at the hotel upon your return to Geneva, i.e. AFTER your flights/holidays, and so leave your car at the hotel during the week/fortnight you are away, there is no guarantee you will have seats in the shuttle bus TO the airport and you might very well end up having to drive your own car to the apt and park there - effectively defeating the object of the exercise. Every single hotel staff, including the General Manager and the drivers themselves, will give you differing accounts of how the shuttle bus service works and how one must reserve seats. One time, and for the same sole journey, I spoke to a staff by phone who told me the seats had been reserved for us. I had this firstly confirmed by email from another staff, then cancelled by another staff who said it wasn't possible to reserve seats without first checking-in/staying at the hotel, then re-confirmed as being "OK" by the manager. When we actually arrived at the hotel, it was a Saturday morning at 07:45 hrs, for the 8 a.m. shuttle, we were told we were not on the list but had been placed on the list of pick-ups FROM the airport at 08:30 hrs. Saying this is incompetent would be an understatement, especially as it was supposed to be "impossible" to book seats FROM the airport in advance. Moreover, we were lucky that there were only 4 other people taking the shuttle that morning at 8 a.m., otherwise we would, in effect, have been left stranded. The 3 seats we needed were, by pure chance, available. This, after having exchanged several emails and even a telephone call with with. We cancelled our 3rd stay hours before we were due to arrive at the hotel - after, again, conflicting information from 1) staff IN PERSON at the hotel 2) telephone calls 3) emails (including to/from the new GM) 4) their shuttle bus drivers, as our booking or seats FROM the hotel to the airport was, during our last phone call to them to confirm our seats, "only being done as a favour" and "is positively the very last time we will do this for you"! We were staying at the hotel at the end of our holiday, so couldn't book the bus during our check-in. Not wanting to have this done "as a favour", not to mention being treated in this highly unprofessional manner, we decided to book at another hotel that WAS actually an airport hotel i.e. is NEAR the airport. So : BEWARE, this is NOT a "real" airport hotel and it is impossible to book seats on their shuttle bus. The only exception being at hotel check-in and then ONLY if the 7 seats haven't already been booked. The hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment. For what it is, this hotel is WILDLY over-priced. The bar prices would be a joke if it wasn't such a rip-off (one good thing - you'll always find a seat... I've never seen anyone using the bar !) The food is also over-priced and I've never seen a chef there nor anyone eating in the restaurant in the evening. I cannot be sure, of course, as I never asked but I suspect the food is "cook chill". Don't expect your room to have a functioning 1) safe 2) window 3) chair and don't expect your room nor bathroom to be clean. If your breakfast is included in the rate, don't expect to find a clean table. EXPECT missing breakfast items : tomatoes / roesti / ham and even bread. Do not expect for the hotel to honour your shuttle bus "pre-reservations", even if confirmed several times by different staff/management... getting a taxi to come from Geneva Airport and pick you up, will probably cost you as much as the hotel room rate. 1. Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Great room and service but terrible breakfast The room was very big and a great value deal for the area. The breakfast buffet for 16 euros per person was disappointing. Everything was cold and there was not much to eat. The supplies weren't refilled. Luckily we came relatively early, so we at least still got something. 28. August 2014
