The modern, western themed lobby lends a welcoming attraction to the property. The conference room is private yet close to dining and front entrance. The rooms are very comfortable and offered plenty of room for two. Dinning room has private setting. Nice buffet in morning. Highly recommend this property. Value plus.
Needs some TLC to business center. Only one computer worked during stay.

I was able to relax at the bar area after 4 days of driving. Did get a good nights rest before heading to the airport.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DanJean Time to find new hotel.
We have used and repeated our visits to this hotel the past 3 years as a half way point between St. Louis and Phoenix. But it only takes one bad visit to stop and find another hotel. Since our last visit, appearance and cleanliness have gone down hill, staff was rude as if you were bothering them. And they no longer offer continental breakfast. As we were checking in; they attempted to overcharge us as we had made reservation with federal discount (they did adjust) but as we were standing at counter the clerk registered two other guests and all room charges were different for same amnesties.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by dave825 Not what it used to be
My family and have enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn in Amarillo in the past. The water slide and fountains in the pool area were a welcome relief after 10 hours in the car. Breakfast used to be included with the stay and was ample and enjoyable. Now the hotel is charging $9.99/person. (Kids still eat free with a paying adult). Overall, it was a disappointing experience when you consider that the price for a single night is almost $40 more than it was two years ago. (I know inflation and costs can affect this, but I would expect the same amenities and as before, not fewer)

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by LA Youth Leader Don't count on the shuttle bus!
My first experience with the hotel involved the shuttle bus. Arriving for a conference, I previously contacted the hotel to reserve the shuttle and was told I would have to wait an hour after my arrival for the next available shuttle. After it didn't arrive at the designated time, I called and was told the shuttle had been cancelled. After waiting an additional half hour, it arrived. The shuttle driver was unfriendly and didn't offer to help with my parties bags.
The staff at the front desk didn't seem to be equipped to deal with our conference. They were at best unprofessional and at worst, uncaring, unfriendly and inhospitable.
Although the facility was nice, the staff certainly left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not return to the location if I had other choices.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hunteredpete Great place to spend an evening or two
Great facility all the way around. The front desk staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The room was nice and cool upon arrival, the bed was soft and very comfortable. The on site restaurant was fantastic. In fact, the breakfast meal was the best hotel breakfast I have ever had.
Thanks to all who had anything to do with my stay. Y'all but the other "big chain" outfits to shame.
Thanks again, and I look forward to my next stay at Holiday Inn and Suites.

The room was plenty big for 2 people and an infant in a pack and play crib. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Everything was to our liking. Since the baby was cooperative with her sleep schedule, the stay was extra relaxing!
