Wow, service was pretty lacking this time we were here for SXSW. I'm not sure if I would stay here again, but the location is great if you like the Rainey Street area.

The room was very spacious and the bed was super comfortable. The front desk staff is also really friendly.

I've stayed at this location numerous times and mainly for a few reasons. Hotel staff is always pleasant and helpful, the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms and its location. Just barely south of the Capital, it is quick and easy to get to downtown locations. One of my first picks to stay at when I travel to Austin. It is a tad bit on the high side price wise. Other than that, fantastic hotel.

The hotel is straight off the freeway so easy to find and get too. The staff were helpful and attentive and the rooms comfortable. I thought the car park was dark late at night but the hotel is in a safe area so no problems.
The room was quiet but as with most Holiday Inn's the internet is slow and when many guests are all logged on its slows even more but that is not down to the staff.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by weedy excellent bar and longe with attentive staff
This hotel is situated ideally to visit the trend Rainey street area. However don't forget to relax in local lounge as I found the bartender extremely knowledgeable and made excellent drinks. She quickly identified what we would drink and have our drink ready after a long day of meetings. The front desk handled an issue with double booking efficiently and with quick service. Overall a nice visit.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ornwen Good, Solid Place, Needs a Renovation
The Hotel is a great value along the River. My room was at the top, facing the River and was quiet at night with a beautiful view of the south city of Austin. Everyone was nice, but the hotel needs a renovation. The front sign seemed to be missing the "H", the decorations were a little old, the lighting was dim downstairs. The guest rooms are clean and very nice; but the rooms need their own safes. The bathrooms need new lighting. Lots of new lighting.
