During my stay the weather went from Average November to Snow and freezing cold. The temp in my room, no matter what I did with the thermostat, stayed @ 68 degrees, which is normally fine. Saturday afternoon the temperature dropped significantly with snow showers and wind. Saturday evening my room was @ 65, still not much of a problem and good for sleeping. Around 3am I woke up cold, the room was freezing and I had to double the comforter for warmth. I got up @ 6am to a freezing room. The thermostat registered 50 because that was the lowest mark. I had to run the shower hot and the hair dryer to create enough heat in the bathroom so I could get dressesd. I went to the front desk @ 6:45 and they said they would send someone to fix the heat. By the time I got back to my room @ 11am to pack-up the thermostat had only reached 56 degrees. When I checked out, I requested a discount on my room and the Front Desk Clerk took off $50. In hind-sight, I should have realized there would be a problem and asked Saturday evening to be moved to a new room where the heat was working.

The mattress was uneven, the sheets were to small for the bed and must have been very old, they wrinkled up under you, and became uncomfortable.
The pillows were very large and hard. (Personal needs)
The tempature was hard to control, either to hot or cold.
The good part..
We had a suite with two rooms, living room and bedroom, we also had two full baths.
We felt very safe in the area and there were lots of resturants in the area.
The hotel was clean for the most part, but a little over priced for the off season.
There was no continental breakfast, but the resturant did provide three meals a day at a cost, and had coffee out around 6:00.

Nice hotel, very nice front desk and bar staff. A little of a pain in the neck to park there with security guard was stopping each car as it enters lot to check for parking pass. Maid service was excellent on 3 out of 4 days but did not clean he room very well one day even though I left a generous daily tip for maid service.
The room was average size, very comfortable bed, nice sized desk, decent sized flat panel TV (wish they had the Sci-Fi channel). Room was somewhat noisy on second night which was very windy. Whistling noise coming in through window, almost all night long, from the wind (that needs to be fixed). Shower diverter did not divert all water from downspout to shower head so shower was on weak side. Free Wi-Fi. Free use of business center. They also have a gym and indoor pool. Nice bar. Overall, hotel was very clean. Never was given a bill at check-out, and I did return room key-cards to front desk but shame on me, I forgot to ask for bill.
All in all a pretty nice experience, I will stay there again. I have to reiterate, the front desk and bar staff were excellent - courteous, professional, helpful.

The room was nice and clean. Every time we asked for help with directions to golf courses or restaurants the person at the desk was very friendly and helpful. I would return the next time in am in town.

Hotel needs a little updating, but is in a good location and has a beautiful view in downtown Binghamton. Definitely would return when traveling through again.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a rather large mini fridge and microwave in our room (both were extremely useful during the stay) and the staff was always kind, courteous and helpful in addressing various requests. The hotel is also in a great location (easy to walk to nearby restaurants/bars/entertainment/etc.) and we had a view of the river nearby from our room. Everything was nice and clean upon arrival.

Great Location and Wonderful Staff
As Platinum IHG Member and Diamond HH I certainly travel my fair share and to frequent travelers it is not so important how dated some of the rooms are, but how you are treated and welcomed to a Hotel. Even though it was my first time staying at this particular IHG Hotel I was welcomed just like I have been there a 1000 times before…..well done!
However the Restaurant food quality left much to be desired, however the service once more made up for it. But I definitely will not be eating there if it is more important for the kitchen manager to hang around the bar, rather than focusing on the food which left the kitchen, which at this day could have not been more than 10 covers.
