I booked my daughters 18th Birthday Party in the Lancaster Suite and many of us stayed the night as well. I would like to thank the team, Lisa Cheryl, Ryan and the chefs for an excellent service. They could not do enough for us. They stayed with us til the very end of the party. Everyone who attended complemented us on the venue , food and the staff. The only issue was the cost of beverages £4.95 for a pint of lager is very expensive. The DJ was very good which was recommended by the Hotel.

Stayed with my daughter as we were exhibiting at the NEC for three days, so needed comfort after our tiring days! Got upgraded (without asking) as I'm a member of the Priority Club. Rooms were comfortable (luckily not too much outside noise in my room facing the busy A45). My daughter had slight issues with the bed sheet being smaller than the bed the first night, but on mentioning this at reception, the problem was quickly solved.
Staff in both the dining room (for breakfast and dinner) and the bar were excellent, friendly but efficient. When my meal one night was left half eaten, this was noticed by both the barman and duty manager who asked if I would like an alternative.
Definitely be back.

Only 5 minutes from the airport - was ideal for my early morning flight. Staff were very helpful & friendly. Only slight negative is the cost of overnight parking for an out of town hotel - would have expected free parking.

The view of the hotel when driving up to it is like stepping back to the 40s 50s, art deco style. Getting through the barrier was a pain due to malfunction. Stay was good, rooms excellent but staff were not the best compared to other HI hotels stayed at. Overall good stay.

Arrived at the hotel at 1:45 and told by reception that I would have to wait until 2pm before I could check in my room... Whilst I understand there needs to be a policy, there was no effort to check the system to see if by chance my room was ready... I sat and waited and a few more people arrived and were told the same. By 2pm there was then a queue of people waiting to check in with all their luggage in hand rather than a nice and pleasant start to the stay..I appreaciate it is a minor issue, but It just felt like "jobs worth" following the rules rather than bothering to go the extra mile to make it a pleasant experience for guests by a simple check which has happened at other hotels, which unfortunately meant that everything else afterwards seemed tainted because it had put me in bad mood...

The Holiday Inn at Birming Airport was a lovely bright and modern hotel. We stayed in an executive room and the room was finished to a high standard. The hotel all round was lovely and especially the leisure facilities which we used.
Th only downfall is the food and drink. The cost of the beverages made us have to eat and drink out away from the hotel. £5 for a lager and £15 for burger and chips, all you need is some very reasonable prices and you would get your customers spending more time relaxing in your lounge area and we saw nobody at all in the dining room. Not suprised and the prices.

As a platinum member i was upgraded from a standard room to a king executive room. A very nice room, included free wired internet, a bar of chocolate , juice and 2 bottles of water. Also what i found to be included was free movies! although i did not use. Access to the business lounge was also included which i used the next morning for breakfast. For the rate i paid and what i received it was excellent value given the location. Will definately return in future.

At the time of our stay, the hotel was very booked and the staff very busy, but they still gave 100% service, and helped with every request,( more than they had too!). I stayed with my son to go to the NEC, thanks to the staff and hotel it was so easy! Parking, the shuttle, and the hotel its self was so good. I recommend that you should up grade to include the breakfast......What a Breakfast! So well cooked, 100% quality, and so much to chose from..very very good. The room was very very good. And with all this, it has a swimming pool and steam room too! which made my sons day...Big Thanks, we will return.
