Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Arusha Too expensive
The room was a standard room with a good mattress and pillows, quiet and a good shower. Coffee and tea available. TV very old with very poor reception.
I was attending a seminar and the food provided for the seminar was very good.
I had dinner on Friday night at the restaurant and is was tasteless and very expensive.
I paid for 2 nights. Was there only for one night and had to pay for two. no breakfast included.
The staff not very friendly. On the defensive all the time.
The view of the burnt pier and some dreadful high crane not very relaxing.
I would not return.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TheMonaghans A cold Easter in Brighton
We booked the Holiday Inn Brighton for a Family get-together over Easter. We had 3 family rooms. The rooms were large, spacious and very clean. Although it was freezing outside, the Hotel was lovely & warm. All the staff we met were efficient and courteous. We particularly liked the night duty manager, a young man who was funny and helpful. We also really liked the fact the night staff made fresh cupcakes for us to take up to our rooms after a night out! They were yummy! It was most disappointing to find out they were only available at weekends, along with the delicious hot food/snacks like bacon barms/sausage barms/chips.
We also liked the lounge area where we could all gather before & after we went out.
Thanks for a great time.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by John1943 Excellent Executive Sea View Balcony Room
Having stayed in this Holiday Inn hotel several times in the last few years, I have no hesitation in recommending the Sea front executive rooms. Its great to wake up to the sunshine on the balcony with the sea open view in front. Early morning coffee on the balcony starts the day off properly.
No hesitation in recommending , whether just a weekend break or a special event.

Lovely nights stay in clean and comfortable room. Close walk into Brighton town and a £9.00 cab ride down to the Marina. Look forward to going back on a proper summers day!

Very surprised by the poor standard of the rooms, compared to other holiday inns.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by PriorityClubPro A Great Stay
I sadly only spent the one night here. I was given an upgrade as a platinum member and the room was at the front of the building with great views of the beach and sea. The room itself was huge with a good sized bathroom.
The hotel is only a few mins walk from the town. Parking is on a first come first served basis and fairly expensive. This however is due to the poor amount of parking space in Brighton.
The bar and food were also very good.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Pompey123 Seaside in March - English Weather
Although the weather was bitterly cold, there was a very warm welcome when I arrived at the Holiday Inn Brighton.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, my room was nice and warm - and more importantantly clean.
This experience made up for the typical English Weather.
Well done

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JGR30 Friendly staff
The reception staff were excellent and so accomodating to our MASSIVE hen party! The room was very clean and comfortable with easy to control heating. It was also lovely and quiet despite being in the centre of Brighton. Staff at breakfast were not quite as helpful - we did not get offered tea or coffee for the whole hour that we were sat in the dining room. Car park was quite expensive.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by phil52 The staff try very hard and are extemely helpful but the hotel is in need of a refurbishment
The bar area, bedrooms and meeting rooms need refurbishing. The general appearancce of the hotel is not good and the car park area needs a complete makeover. The meeting rooms have no natural light and are quite depressing. The one real positive is the staff, who were very helpful, attentive and efficient.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by WeeScotsman No parking out of date bedrooms
Turned into hotel car park at the back of the hotel. Had to leave the car on the slip road to get a token from reception. Told it was full. Can they not put a sign up! Nearest car park 2 streets away and had to lift my luggage up 3 flights of stairs to get out the car park. Was given an executive room (platinum member). Would hate to see a standard one! Corners knocked off everything, door missing off minibar. Not impressed especially for the price.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Fontanelle most disappointing
I had to wait for my room to be ready for several hours even though I didnt arrive till 13'00.
I was not attending the wedding function in the hotel but I was given a room directly above the room that the wedding was in on the first floor. This meant loud, thumping music until 1am. I find it really amazing that a room directly 'on top' of a celebration evening is given to a non guest of that function. On check out the only comment was ..... I am sorry that you were disappointed...... no compensation, or any other apology was offered, I shall certainly not come back again.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Srich Clean but dated
Overall the hotel, although a bit dated was quite comfortable. It was let down by the service in the restaurant , this was by no means busy but the service was very poor, the side dishes ended up coming halfway through the meal, the delay between courses was slow and I was asked if I wanted coffee before I had even chosen desert - a coffee is served after the meal not in the middle!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrPicky Room Comfort/Food
The room was very good but spoilt by a very soft, bouncy sprung mattress which gave us both backache from which we are still suffering. The breakfast was disappointing because the items had been in the hot containers for some time and the fried eggs were hard and welded together and the bacon very dry and leathery. I've no doubt it was excellent when it was first cooked, but at 09:00 hrs it really was well past its best.

Great loaction, and worth trying to get a sea view room for the balcony and view.
Very out dated decor and poor quality of product.
Would not bother with any of the food and beverage outlets as there are so many of excellent quality and price so close by.
This hotel needs money spending on it desperately!!!

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Becman Potentially lovely stay marred by inconsiderate neighbours
Check in was friendly, welcoming & efficient. Room comfortable & clean - could maybe do with a refresh of the furnishings but otherwise quite satisfactory. The bar service was efficient, friendly & reasonable value. The only real problem that I would flag up is that bedroom doors cannot be closed without making a loud slamming noise. This is a particular problem when you have, as I did , pig ignorant neighbours who arrive back at 2:30 am and then spend the next hour or so shuttling in and out of their room every few minutes & chatting loudly in the corridors. Obviously the behaviour of guests is not directly within the control of the hotel but the effects could be mitigated if room doors did not make such a loud bang on closure. Other hotels can do it - why not this one?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Winsafe Holiday Inn Brand Nightmare
This location should not retain the Holiday Inn brand identity. It does a diservice to the brand. Room had broken fixtures (rusty tissue holders). Windows were missing 1 of 3 double glazing panels. Lighting was very dreary and dingy - not way you could work off this lighting. Internet was useless - over 3 days it could not on any one day sustain a decent connection. Pillows like rocks. Overall - not worthy of the Holiday Inn heritage or name.

No a great hotel in need of a revamp, rooms need to be refurbished.
Unfortunately when we were guests there was a convention at the hotel this meant that it was crowded and we were unable to relax. Long wait to check out and a hassle waiting for list and drinks. We had to use a different car park this added to the cost of our room.
No Breakfast included. i would have been better at Holiday in Express !

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by crisx Lovely location!
Downstairs the hotel is comfortable and looks good. I think the money ran out when doing the refurbishment as bedrooms need updating e.g nicer furniture, flat screen tv etc. Overall, a pleasant enough place and the staff are wonderful. Food fabulous and I would visit again.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by daveh61 uncomfortable bed and pillows
the Bed was too firm and not comfortable and the pillows were the most uncomfortable dead lumps I have ever slept on they were labelled soft and firm well I could feel any difference between them and neither were pleasant to rest your head on I woke up in the morning after a very poor nexts rest with a sore neck, that apart the Hotel was very average very good position on the seafront and the Breakfast was good and staff friendly but I am afraid I wouldn't recommend Holiday Inn if this is an example of their Hotels

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DeeBeeJB New Year Package again excellent
This is the second year running we have attended the New Year Glitter Ball and as last year this was an well organised ,very enjoyable event. The dinner was served hot and the four courses plus coffee were ,as last year, of excellent quality. The staff were first class and the disco was loud and the music well chosen to ensure the floor was always full.
We had the two night package and the food served at breakfast and the second nights dinner maintained the same high standard.
The restaurant staff were excellent throughout our stay as were the reception staff.
At the price paid this was a package that gave unbeatable value for money and we intend making it three in a row next year!! Well done to all concerned.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by flick Hotel needs updating
The reception staff were efficient, personable and couldn't fault them at all.
However, the lounge area was tired looking and needed modernising. It didn't make us want to spend any time there at all. In fact, we stayed on at our table in the dining room after finishing our meal as we knew the lounge area didn't provide us with any comfortable surroundings and atmosphere.
We were disappointed with the small double bed which came with the standard room. The room could have taken a larger bed with ease. What a shame. Compared with other hotel chains this was a missed opportunity not to provide a larger bed.
Location was ideal and parking was a bonus.
