Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by pleasantly surprised We booked in here for 1 night as flying from Bristol airport, we ate in the bar area, and the food was home cooked and good quality, the drinks were reasonably priced. The room was spacious and we had a good nights sleep. All the staff were pleasant and professional. Thank you! January 29, 2015

The interior finish in the lobby and bar areas were a little bland, I would only stay in this hotel for business purposes. I found it too pricey to stay in and having to pay £5 for car parking although a guest for one night was not right I thought. January 27, 2015

Good easy check in, comfortable room and bar, dinning and breakfast all OK. Disapointed had to pay £5 to park the car overnight, thought that would be complementry for a one night stay. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Parking charges We have stayed at the Holiday Inn Bristol many times and generally enjoy our stay. The biggest annoyance is the way the parking prices have increased, charging £5 for the first night and £10 every further night should you leave your car. The shuttle has also doubled in price and when we queried it again with the reservation staff we were advised it was probably cheaper to park at the airport, we feel that this Holiday Inn really does not want you to park with them. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Bar food well below average This hotel is ideally located for early flights from Bristol airport, the bus shuttle service is convenient to avoid costly parking at Bristol airport. Unfortunately the benefits finish there.This hotel has poor sound insulation in rooms facing the A38 which can leave the traveller very tired if scheduled for an early flight. The bar food is extremely disappointing - I ordered vegetable lasagne on the evening of January 13th which consisted of multiple layers of sloppy pasta sheets and very little in the way of vegetables in between. This was served with approximate 6 curled up, dehydrated, brown lettuce leaves which were well beyond their best before date with no offer or hint of a salad dressing accompaniment. The meal was sent back to the kitchen 3 times before I eventually gave up and agreed to a refund on the meal - it had taken so long to resolve that I was too tired to order anything else.
