The service from first arrival up to departure was nothing less than fantastic.
My room was very spacious and extremeley clean. With a very comfortable bed.
Service in the restaurant was brilliant with some of the best food I have ever tasted at any hotel.

Good first impressions are important and this we got entering the Main Entrance/Reception area. It was clean, light with nice décor.
Reception staff were welcoming and dealt with our registration very efficiently.
Our room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. As there were two of us a second chair would have been beneficial.
The restaurant and bar area were both comfortable. The staff were very helpful and smiled a lot.
The breakfast menu was excellent and the evening meals although of good standard needed a greater variety.

All that was needed for a great weekend away was accommodated for. The rooms were clean and fresh with great room service. The staff were all professional , approachable and friendly. The reception staff were able to answer all questions and there knowledge was beneficial to my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel and I will be returning.
The on site gym with pool and sauna were also of a good standard and was very clean with again great staff to help you.

Was greeted by a view over the pond, with a lovely rainbow glowing in the fountain, and a little rabbit apparently gazing at the rainbow.
Very comfortable bed, excellent, strong shower. Very nice dinner and plenty of choice at breakfast.
Only negatives that you have to pay for Wifi which is annoying, and shame they leave the TV on in the room from an energy saving perspective.

I have used H I for a number of years and this is the first time that I have been disappointed in that initially I had no control over the room temperature. I had arrived during a heavy rain and hail storm and consequently was quite wet. No problem I thought , the rooms are usually warm . Not this time. The radiator was stone cold and the hearing element of the room air con unit had been disabled by the hotel staff. When I complained to reception I was told that the the heating had been turned off because the sun was shining and that it would be on later on in the evening. Having paid for an executive room (or any room) I find this unacceptable that hotel management dictate guests comfort level. I expect to be able to control my own environment as weather conditions change especially with the fickle weather we experience in UK.
Please change this dictatorial policy at this hotel.

Another comfortable stay. Staff very helpful, and the room service dinner arrived very quickly, and was very good indeed (even better than normal). The only real room for improvement is reducing external noise of traffic, which sometimes wakes me early - probably would need new windows, but recognise this would require major investment.

Easy access off M4 motorway. Very clean & comfortable Hotel. Staff are very helpful & professional. Bonus with Swimming pool & large play area in the grounds for young ones. Free parking.

All the staff are very friendly, from the moment you enter the hotel until the time you leave, they are always checking you are ok and enjoying your stay. Although all the staff are excellent I must mention the personnel in the bar area, any issues are resolved very quickly and efficiently no matter how small the problem is.

Great stay, v friendly staff, a little long walk to the lifts for my wife on crutches.
Not much room for Hotel Guests in the pool on a Saturday morning when classes underway.
Floor numbers very puzzling, with ground floor having the number 4, Why??
Quality of breakfast was good (most all Buffet) however service when required was light.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Filton Holiday Inn and both times have been totally fine. Nice customer service, pleasant and kindly staff, clean rooms and a generally nice atmosphere. I haven't tried the gym and pool facilities yet, but I will next time. I must add that the breakfast is very good, with excellent service.

A very attentive team run the Holiday Inn, Filton - nothing was too much trouble. This hotel was a regular stop for me while I was working in the area and was made very comfortable indeed.

The hotel is nice with 2 restaurants, a gym and a pool.
However the wi-fi is a bit slow and the free lounge internet computers are old. They crash when you try to use Facebook.

Ticks all the boxes for what I want from a business hotel -- location, restaurant, fitness centre but there is one major exception --- the coffee at breakfast which is awful.
It was so bad on a recent visit that a visiting European colleague who I joined for breakfast said that it was the worst he had ever come across.
Have complained several times about this but to no avail.

We were given an executive room which was very good value. It had everything we needed in a standard layout and all was clean and good. We asked for a quiet room, and both nights of our stay proved quiet and peaceful.
The only down sides were the lack of free wifi (come on, even Premier Inn can do this) and the need to have the car park ticket stamped at reception - fine once you know, not so good when you have to reverse from the exit barrier because the staff hadn't thought to mention it.

My family and I stay at Holiday Inn's quite frequently but Holiday Inn Bristol - Filton is so far our favourite! The staff are always friendly and welcoming from front of house right through to the housekeepers. We normally eat in the Junction restaurant but occasionally choose from the Sampans menu and we've never had a bad meal yet, the food has always been fresh and delicious. On the Friday evening the Sampans Chef John came out to our table to chat to us and it was obvious why his food tasted so good as he talked about it with such passion. Mike and Wilson always enhance our restaurant experience by going that extra mile and doing everything they can to please, whether evening or breakfast! The breakfast selection is always impressive and the cooked to order omelettes are spot on!
Keep up the fantastic service Filton,
We look forward to our return visits in July and September :-)

From the moment we checked in the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The room was basic, but comfortable and clean. Could do with a better make off coffee as the one supplied in the room was nit nice unless you like Kenco. The food was excellent and there was plenty of choice from the breakfast buffet. The only downside was the attitude of the one of the staff running the breakfast restaurant.

I stayed in this hotel during March 2014 for a weekend conference. The hotel is nicely decorated and generally comfortable. Standard rooms are small for the location but were relatively comfortable and clean.
Wifi is chargeable throughout and seemed a bit of a rip off.
The food was average but this may have been due to the fact I was eating buffet stuff mainly due to the event I was attending.
The main theme of this hotel was that the bar service was very slow due to a lack of staff. I had to remind the staff on 3 occasions to get drinks for me and one of these was after I was told the lounge was table service and therefore no need to wait at the bar. I was not the only person who was notably irritated by this experience.
This was also the case in the private bar which was understaffed for the number of people at the evening events in our group.
I should just clarify that the staff were all polite and helpful but there was just not enough of them.
On check-out I was asked if everything was ok with my stay and I mentioned this. The member of staff on the desk, named Sebastian was apologetic and he offered to credit my IHG rewards account with 5000 points. At the time I was happy with this offer. I have since checked my account to find this has not been done.
Would I stay here again? No!

We come to this Holiday Inn about four to five times a year. We rate this hotel as amongst our favourites. We always have a nice room and really enjoy eating in the restaurant. Breakfast is always good with the exception of the toaster that has a mind of it own!.
Always a good talking point whilst waiting to use it.

Spent a long weekend here and was very impressed with the hotel. Rooms were very clean, the staff were friendly and helpful - the waitress at breakfast remembered that we had requested crispy bacon from the day before and asked on the second morning if we would like this again- impressive! The hotel is conveniently placed to travel into Bristol and Clifton and see the sights. Would stay here again - thank you for a lovely weekend

Overall, the hotel is good and I return here often when on business in the area because of the ideal location and good gym and pool available for no additional cost. However, some issues make it more and more difficult to justify returning given the competition elsewhere: evening meals are poor value for money, and wifi is not free, despite this being offered by other hotels in the area. During my last visit to the hotel, I ate in the hotel bar and my meal was rather poor value for money compared with that offered by other local establishments. Overall, consistently good hotel worthy of recommendation if these issues would be rectified.

We visited this hotel last Saturday. Hotel was quite busy, our room was too hot and thermostat did not work. We had a priority card which we had read allowed us free access to wi fi which was £5 per hour or £16 for 24 hours, however reception said that did not come in till latter in the year.
We ate in the Chinese restaurant which was very expensive and under staffed. Food was of a good quality when it came but we had been sitting there for and hour and a half and only had the soup starter from the set meal. We were a table of 8 and chose 6 of one set menu and 2 of another set menu, We asked that the food was all brought together as we intended to share it between us. This appeared to cause chaos and the main courses finally came at after nearly 2 hours with two arriving 20 minutes after the others. We were not offered further drinks and had to ask, at one point thought we might have to go to the bar ourselves. The staff did their best but were severely understaffed. Meal worked out at nearly £40 per head, defiantly expected better service for this sort of price! Service was discretionary however they had added 12.5%. A Joke.

Chose to stay here whilst visiting our daughter at university. Had a very quiet,clean and comfortable room.superb breakfast,helpful and friendly staff.We used the swimming pool and enjoyed a walk around the ponds outside.Had a very relaxing break at an amazing price.Looking forward to returning.

Recently stayed here as we attended a wedding nearby. Hotel staff were very polite and professional, room was lovely and clean and best of all my husband loved the power shower!
The only reason we haven't scored full marks for the food at this place is because we didn't eat here as we chose to eat out with family.
Overall a lovely hotel and we will be staying again if we ever visit Bristol

We had a really warm reception from the Front Desk staff
who all ensured the whole family were well catered for, from extra internet access to extra hot chocolate in the room.
The pool provided a haven for the children, with the youngest still learning he had easy access at the side of the pool.
We received excellent service from Neil in the bar area. He was very friendly and kind to the children.
