Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, but rock hard bed The welcome was nice, the room looked very nice, but once I wanted to go to bed, I noticed the mattress was rock hard. And by hard I mean the floor was almost softer, which is tricky since it was a wooden floor. I ended up making a mattress out of the 4 pillows in order to get at least some sleep. On top of that my neighbours were having a party at 3am and again when I woke up at 10am. I should point out that it was New Year's eve, but still it would be helpful for hotel staff to post a sign in the elevator at New Year's eve telling people they should not party in their room since other people are trying to sleep... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by making a difference The hotel is a hotel and it was in very good condition. What made the difference was a staff member who took a hotel and turned it into a great experience. Tim the front desk person at the hotel treated us very nicely and was as caring of our needs at our late night arrival as he could possible be. I have travelled internationally for over 40 years and can say that the staff members of a hotel are the most valuable asset or it's most destructive liability. Tim is a great asset to this hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable and modern hotel It was the second time we stayed at this hotel. We arrived late at the hotel (at around 23:00), but were immediatly greeted by the receptionist. I was a bit surprised that he didn't speak Dutch, so we made it work in English. Maybe he was new at this, but it took him some time to get us checked in. After check in, we went to our room on the 4th floor, to find out that it was quite cold. I activated the heater, but it took quite some time before we felt a difference (it was almost freezing outside). Maybe I did something wrong, because when I played with the settings again in the morning, the room warmed up a lot quicker. Luckily the blankets were up to the job. Apart from these two little things, everything else was perfect. A clean and big room, an extensive breakfast with lots of different options, we did enjoy our stay. The hotel is very modern and welcoming, the crew is very helpfull and friendly, and mostly quite quick also. Will book here again. December 28, 2014
