The hotel was comfortable, the breakfasts were excellent, the staff friendly and they did get taxis for us whenever we needed them. With six of us going to graduation and around town, it wasn't always easy. Surprised to see a charge for newspapers to a Priority Club Platinum member as they are free in the US. The only problem was the room was down three halls and up a flight of stairs. As an older couple with heavy bags it was a bit much. Doors in the halls need automatic operators as getting through them with luggage was trying.

Great health and fitness facilities. Room was great; everything you needed was there. Food in the lounge area was superb even though it was a bit overpriced. Breakfast was extremely busy but they seemed to be short on staff. There was a wedding in the evening in a room near the lounge area; it was a bit annoying due to the noise levels. Good value and we enjoyed our stay.

The welcome we received from the Reception Desk was effusive but was not efficient. I went to the Priority Club check-in desk but was told to walk to the far end of the desk to check-in. Although I was then greeted as a Priority Club member, the chap registering us seemed to think I must have been hard of hearing given the loudness of his voice which boomed over the entire reception area, removing any hint of confidentiality of personal details. I was asked which newspaper I wanted on the Saturday morning and although I ordered the Daily Mail, it never materialised and when I went to reception, I was told - apologetically - that the hotel had no copies of the paper and I would have to go a newsagents to buy one. (The Mail on Sunday did get delivcered the following day).
The executive room I had paid for was perfect and on a par with other Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza hotels I have stayed in. The room was clean, comfortable, the television large, the bathroom excellent.

We are pensioners and my husband and myself really enjoyed our two nights,we are priority club customers and we have stayed in many Holiday Inn hotels and yours is a very good one, your staff were very helpful and very pleasant and we had all our meals in the hotel, very good choice at breakfast and we had a buffet evening meal on our first night which was alright, but we prefer table service and we enjoyed a very nice meal on the Sunday evening that was table service. We have no complaints all was as we have come to expect from your hotels. Our room was very spacious on the ground level perfect for us it was a twin room and was very comfy with a nice large screen tv and a nice bathroom,we prefer a shower but the shower over the bath was alright,we didn't request a shower cubicle so we have no complaints, the room was 121.Thank you to everyone we will visit again.

My family and I loved our one night stay at the Cambridge hotel. The boys (6 and 9) loved the swimming pool, the big room and the breakfast. Staff were attentive and food very good. Only slight downside was a sofa bed that should have been replaced.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrsE2012 Quiet hotel on outskirts of Cambridge
We stayed at the end of November for a short pre-Christmas break to Cambridge. I checked the website before booking as some nights are party nights so I avoided those. Our room wasn't ready (even though we weren't early) but we didn't have to wait long. I found the room to be very spacious and the bed comfortable. The bathroom was excellent with a hot power shower and a pull out shaving mirror my husband used. My only complaint was the amount of light that came from the corridor, the door was quite 'gappy' round the edges. But I'm a light sleeper, my husband wasn't bothered.
There is a bus a short walk away that takes you into Cambridge which was great, although the receptionist gave us an old timetable so we missed our bus back and had to wait ages for the next one. We also had a nice meal at a pub just a 10 minute walk up the road. Breakfast was very good at the hotel but we didn't have dinner there. My husband also used the pool and said it was very good.
