Brice greeted us at the front desk, he was so nice and friendly and Chef Carlos was a wonderful, wonderful person. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wedding Weekend Was in Raleigh for a wedding. .Had late check-in on 11/09/13. Checkout on 11/10/13. Registration staff member very accommodating. Room nice and clean, spacious with good temperature control. Breakfast next morning was plentiful and delicious. Would definitetly stay there again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great experience I had a great experience at this Raleigh, NC location. my only note would be that the restaurant and food service un grossly understaffed. Both for breakfast and at the lounge and restaurant, the poor waiter and bartender is running around, because they simply need help. Weekend breakfast seemed the worst with all the kids, families and regular guests combines, the waiter can't clear tables in time for new people arriving, because he can only do one thing at a time. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Average quality for an average price. My room was clean as expected. However, some issues made this overnight stay average at best. First, the window unit didn't work properly. The knob for turning the unit on and off was stripped and the compressor would cut on and off a few times before the unit shut off completely. The only way to get it to come back on was to turn it completely off and back on again and with a stripped knob, that wasn't easy to do. The air in my room remained stale because of the faulty unit and sleeping wasn't easy to do and I only managed 5 hours of sleep before an all day exam the next day. The automated wake up call system also wasn't working properly. I set a 5:45am wake up call the night before and double checked to make sure it was set. 5:45 came and went and the phone never rang. After a restless night, the shower was the final disappointment. More water came out around the shower head than what came through it, the bi-fold closet doors were barely attached to the wall, the tv reception was very grainy and some of the furniture was missing knobs, which made the place look cheap. I will be in the area again the same time next year but will probably chose different accomodations. October 29, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, up to date room The room was very clean and new looking, bed was comfortable, tv worked fine. I would not stay at this hotel for more than a day, because it did not have a refrigerator in the room. Being a AAA member, the 10% discount made me ineligible for the breakfast, which they wanted to charge 5.00 per person? Would of taken the base rate above the best available rate posted, so I declined. Also, tried to access the wireless internet on ipod, would not allow unless it was paid for, even though it is listed as free. Very clean hotel just not for me. September 23, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect Stay Our "free night" offer was about to expire, so the family booked one night at this hotel for a stay-cation. It was great! We were upgraded to a suite upon check-in, so we were able to spread out and relax. Spent some time in the pool which our 9-year-old loved. Staff made us feel special, like they don't see platinum members very often. I'm sure that they do, but everyone treated us extraordinarily well even though we were using the offer for a free night. We had a great time here, hope to do it again someday. September 4, 2013

He thought the people were awesome and he was right. I believe the front desk was manned by Cybernia (sp) and Greg was the bartender. Both bent over backward to make our stay a positive one. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Warm, humid and smelly Unfortunately this Holiday Inn didn't measure up to the normal standards. The hallway on my floor was serviced by a non-functioning A/C unit, which made for a warm and stuffy sensation getting off the elevator. My room had a very odd smell - or rather stench - to it, which was very unpleasant. I should have requested another room, but due to time of arrival chose not to. At 8:00 AM the breakfast bar was very sparsely supplied, and not very appetizing. July 28, 2013

There was plenty of shops and restaurants within a few miles and was very accessible to I40. Only negative was that there was no air conditioning in the elevators. The fitness room was small and hot but did have some free weights which I don't find too often at this level of hotel. July 27, 2013

Tiny bed pillows prevent putting arm under pillow while sleeping. Good price, nice building, but the musty smell is real. Newer hotels in the area. I'll stay at one of those going forward. Rooms were always clean and comfortable but typically had some small but annoying problem like a really slow tub drain, a light bulb that was out, or a noisy air conditioner. Staff was very pleasant and friendly but didn't pay attention to detail, e.g. only supplied one bar of soap for both sink and bath, delivered a room service meal without a napkin and silverware, mixed up a charge on my bill, and the bar didn't have any wine on half price wine night. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Stay This was our second time here. We liked the upgrade to the suite. Made our stay enjoyable. Buffet breakfast was good. Pool was nice and Jacuzzi was the best. Division II baseball teams were staying there also, but never felt crowded. The staff was always polite to us, and would offer with services. Will stay again next trip when visiting grandchildren. Breakfast Food/Silverware The Breakfast food was not the best I know Holiday Inns & Suites to be. It was Stale, Old & you had to pull back the top layer to get to what wasn't stiff. The Head chef should ALWAYS, ALWAYS have the FOOD FRESH!! I was too disappointed. The silver ware should NOT have food sticking on it from the previous guest. I had to get silverware 3 different times and then finally I just got it myself. This area should pay more detail to the Breakfast that's stale & the unsanitary utensils. May 13, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by room, service, general chairs in room were visibly worn and uncomfortable - general appearance of room was dark, musty, and uninviting - TV reception was mediocre I do not drink wine or beer. When I asked the barperson if I could exchange my (2) complimentary (wine/beer) beverage coupons for a single mixed drink I was told that was not possible. I stay at Holiday Inns for more than 90% of my business travel - I never had an issue exchanging complimentary beverage coupons for something other than beer or wine. my overall experience at this hotel can only be classified as a mistake. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just ok stay The stay was just ok. I am very particular where I sleep. The rooms were clean enough and the bed was comfortable. My issues came with towels. Both mornings my bath towels were stained. This means I saw someone else's bodily fluids!!! Grosss!! I did call down to the front desk and did receive different towels, but I shouldn't have had to do this two days in a row. Breakfast ran until 11:00. We got down there around 10:15. We had to ask the wait staff to clean a table both mornings so we could sit. The first morning, they did not even bother to replinish the food. The second morning was better but there were kids using their hands to get the food and there were other guests reusing their plates. There needs to be signs up to state that kids should be supervised and to get a clean plate with each trip to the buffet. I did talk to the young man at the front desk. He was very understanding and apologetic. They ended up taking the breakfast off of our bill and refunded us one night's Priority Club points. April 12, 2013

Buffet breakfast was fresh, cook and wait staff was great; probably the best I've seen at this class of hotels. During our first night it was real busy and a youth group was there making pool overcrowded and noisy (for me) but they seemed to be having lots of fun. I'd stay again and recommend to anyone. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Customer Service On arrival on 3/18/13, after receiving my room key the front desk associate stated that she forgot to upgrade me to a suite -- would I be interested in an upgrade. I replied no because there was a considerable line behind me waiting to check in, and I did not want to hold everyone up. Her inattention to detail was disappointing. As a femaile that travels quite a bit for work, I always try to find a hotel that has a bar/restaurant so I do not have to travel at night alone. Due to this, I usually choose Holiday Inn because it meets my needs. My experience at the bar was as equally disappointing as my check in. The bartender could really use a brush on customer service. She seemed very disinterested in being there. I had to ask for a beverage and a menu. She never offered another beverage I had to request one. I have stayed at your other property on Highwoods Blvd. in Raleigh. The front desk staff there is outstanding as well as Davis at the bar. Perhaps some cross training could help out the Cary staff. I was to stay 2 nights, but I checked out early to the experience. When I checked out on 3/19/13, the front desk associate was very pleasant about checking me out a day early. March 25, 2013
