Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Super Break Ideally located just a couple of minutes away from the motorway, staff were excellent very friendly and nothing too much trouble, the waiter even brought our very thirsty Airedale a bowl of water! The pool and sauna were an added benefit. Warwick is only a 20 minute drive away which is a lovely historic town with lots of choice in pubs and restaurants. Strongly recommend for a stopover in the Midlands. January 8, 2014

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing stay As a IHG platinum customer I stay in holiday inns regularly and have stayed in this hotel over 50 times. My last stay was particularly unpleasant. The main area of concern is the resturant and bar. It took 1 hour 10 minutes for my food to come out and I had to chase it twice, it wasn't particularly busy and it was only chicken. When it did come it was dry and very bland, I also ordered a Starbucks coffee iced frap, I've ordered these before and they are not made like a Starbucks drink at all in fact it was embarrassing to be handed it first time was a watery white drink without any coffee in and it had to be made twice and in the end I just paid for it and left it. I've had similar experiences with the other Starbucks drinks which are not made to the quality or standard you would expect. The level of training for the making of these drinks must be none existent. No apology was made. The breakfast is also a joke, 15 pounds for a bowl of cereal, an absolute rip off and even though it is paid for by work I also think how scandalous this is. The reception staff and breakfast staff in the hotel are the best bit about the place as they are always friendly. Finally I think the reward scheme is very poor, I never get a room upgrade or upgraded toiletries etc even though I'm a platinum member that stays all the time. In the future if thinks don't improve I'll look to stay in another chain. Other things that need to be improved - - the exit barrier remaining down after big groups leave following conferences I've had to wait upto 10 minutes before to leave as the barrier remains down and people haven't been given parking tickets. - TVs not working in the bars on football nights - service in the gym, there's a you man who works there that seems to spend all his time on the his mobile phone December 15, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Archery weekend I went with my daughter to the Archery national indoors comp in Ricoh, Coventry. We stayed here so we were relaxed for a days shooting. When we arrived we were welcomed and check-in went with out a hitch. Room was very comfy. Dinner was a bit pricey but the quality of the food was excellent. Breakfast was also really good. Enjoyed the pool in the morning. At all times the staff looked happy and were always willing to help. December 11, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sleepless nights x 3 On arrival we were impressed by the reception staff and the room which was nice and more than adequate and were looking forward to our stay. However, unfortunately for all the three nights we stayed there was also works Christmas parties being held which, on each night, resulted in 20 -30 people standing immediately outside the main reception doors smoking. On returning to the hotel each evening you had to make your way through the crowd and the smoke, the area being littered with cigarete ends, despite a bin provided. I suggest the doors leading from reception to the corridors containing the rooms, have some sort of security/card access system that the rooms have, as anyone can and did wander from reception around the corridors. The noise was awful from people constantly going up and down the corridors from late evening until the early hours, slamming doors, shouting, running, swearing etc. The noise transfer between rooms is also bad as we heard couples returning to the room above and to the side, talking, singing and every use of the toilet was in plainly heard, awful! Our room 236, faced out to the front/car park, unfortunately this room looked out onto the area where taxis parked and where the taxis left the diesel engines running constantly in the early hours. Between our room and the taxis is a children’s play area, also used by the adults in the early hours. We are not prudes or tea totalers by any stretch of the imagination, but 3 nights of only a few hours sleep was horrendous, as this was a return to our home town to visit relatives to deliver Christmas presents etc. You can not say, that unfortunately you came when the parties were on, the whole thing is obviously not managed properly as the guest should have preferential treatment, as they are actually staying and sleeping there, but hey what’s a few disgruntled guests when there are hundreds of paying party goers? Same time last year must have been the same, as the security guy on the door was telling me about all the "women lying around drunk and the blood outside reception from the mass brawl outside". I was talking to the security guy whilst my wife drove around the car park looking for a space, after the barrier initially wouldn’t let us in, as the "car park full" sign was illuminated and we and the people behind had to wait until someone drove out. We would not stay here again as we would not be sure of the "external influences" affecting our stay and also the noise between rooms is as off putting. December 6, 2013

Mat even on asking throughout hotel carpets badley stained plants dyeing through lack of water staff ok when you can find them but disinterested a better selection of salads. All staff we encountered were excellent. Our restaurant dinner, and breakfast were, again, excellent. A later check-out, to allow us to get changed, was granted with no fuss. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst Holiday Inn As a Platinum Elite member, I stay in holiday inns across the country every week. This is the worst hotel I have to stay in. I have been here 6 or 7 times this year, never get upgraded, rooms are never great and the food is fairly basic and poor even with the new menu. My latest visit was a complete joke, no upgrade, wifi didnt work properly, room was boiling hot all night, room service got my meal order wrong and tried to overcharge me, after promising to correct this, i had to check my bill again and to no surprise, I was being over charged for my food. Overall poor experience again and I will try as hard as possible not to return to this hotel. I was called by the duty manager later in the day and the only good thing they do is say sorry, over and over? November 14, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend Stay Had a weekend with friends. All good only comments I would make were RE evening Carvery not terribly good but the breakfast as great. Wine list was wanting and felt very over priced. Rooms were fine however we were put into smoking rooms and they stunk to high heaven. I did not realise that people were allowed to smoke in their rooms and if I had known would have asked for non smoking. Staff were very good and polite November 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good and bad This is the third stay here, as part of an Army re-union weekend. The package of accommodation and meals was good value. The public areas are excellent, but the standard bedrooms are small with a tiny bathroom. The beds are very uncomfortable, I would expect more comfortable mattresses in a hotel like this. The food was very good and staff very polite. Its a joke, not having free wifi, when you can get it almost everywhere else. I refuse to pay the charges for it. So good and bad at this hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wifi Disappointed that this hotel does not provide free Wifi. I have stayed at many other hotels in this chain and have always had this provided. When I queried this I was offered Wifi at £5 for the hour! Caused a problem as running my business i needed to keep in touch with customers and on top of emails. In this modern world I expect this to be offered free as the pub down the road to this hotel does! Shame as apart from this issue an enjoyable stay. I expect to visit this area many times over the next 4 years as my daughter is at University fact we are back again this month. Already booked here but may need to rethink future visits and look for alternative hotels if this Wifi issue is not resolved. November 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cov m6 Good standard holiday inn hotel, just off the M6, if you want a hotel with a pub or a curry house near by this one is not for you, but if you want to be off the motorway or a short trip into Coventry then this hotel should tick the box fo,r you. I stayed in a executive room, a few bits extra but most likely not worth the extra cost. Eat at the hotel and a good meal deal of starter and main with 2 drinks for £20, ok worth a stay. The location is ideal for accessing the nearby towns and attractions. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and service first class. The rooms are very comfortable and although next to two motorways it is quiet and peaceful. For anyone looking to stay in the Coventry area we would thoroughly recommend this Holiday Inn. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Probably the best breakfast out there. The breakfast food is par for the course - but the service and atmosphere created was first class. The staff were open and friendly and able to stop at my table for a few words. These are the first people I interact with in the morning when away on business, and a cheerful face with a few moments of chatter was very nice. The hotel liked me so much they wouldn't let me go. I waited for a very long time to check out and watched while staff wondered about doing whatever they do - but not helping their obviously struggling colleagues at the check-out desk.
