Must See

Must See

Step back in time at Warwick Castle, just over half an hour’s drive from the hotel. You can climb the towers of this well-preserved medieval fortress for views of the countryside, descend to the gruesome Castle Dungeon, and admire the Great Hall, hung with stag antlers, lances and suits of armour. In the summer the riverside garden hosts jousting displays and a huge, working medieval catapult.
Must Do

Must Do

Take a five-mile drive to Coombe Country Park, where kids can let off steam in the Climbing Forest, feed ducks or try pond dipping and orienteering. There are plenty of activities for adults, too. Enjoy a leisurely stroll in the Old Deer Park, or take in the sensory delights of the Wildflower Meadow. The park is home to a large colony of herons, so you can even indulge in a spot of birdwatching.
Don't Go Home Without

Don't Go Home Without

Ponder themes of forgiveness and reconciliation at Coventry Cathedral, in the city centre. Badly hit during World War II, the old cathedral now stands in ruins as a symbol of the futility of war, with a new cathedral right next to it. Look out for sculptures such as the "Charred Cross", crafted out of two wooden beams from the old cathedral and now displayed in front of the words "Father Forgive".

You can grab a souvenir for the folks back home at Fargo Creative Village, just outside the city centre. Browse through independent shops and artists’ studios for one-off pieces from bespoke wood burners to handmade jewellery, plus vintage and second-hand clothing. When you’re all shopped out, take a break at a gourmet coffee shop, or pamper yourself at the Creative & Well-Being Hub.
