Mat even on asking throughout hotel carpets badley stained plants dyeing through lack of water staff ok when you can find them but disinterested a better selection of salads. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Difficult to fault We were meeting friends prior to attending an event nearby. The room, if a little small, was immaculately clean and modern. All staff we encountered were excellent. Our restaurant dinner, and breakfast were, again, excellent. A later check-out, to allow us to get changed, was granted with no fuss. The pool, sauna and steamroom were a good way to revive us. Thank you. November 27, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The worst Holiday Inn As a Platinum Elite member, I stay in holiday inns across the country every week. This is the worst hotel I have to stay in. I have been here 6 or 7 times this year, never get upgraded, rooms are never great and the food is fairly basic and poor even with the new menu. My latest visit was a complete joke, no upgrade, wifi didnt work properly, room was boiling hot all night, room service got my meal order wrong and tried to overcharge me, after promising to correct this, i had to check my bill again and to no surprise, I was being over charged for my food. Overall poor experience again and I will try as hard as possible not to return to this hotel. I was called by the duty manager later in the day and the only good thing they do is say sorry, over and over? November 14, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Weekend Stay Had a weekend with friends. All good only comments I would make were RE evening Carvery not terribly good but the breakfast as great. Wine list was wanting and felt very over priced. Rooms were fine however we were put into smoking rooms and they stunk to high heaven. I did not realise that people were allowed to smoke in their rooms and if I had known would have asked for non smoking. Staff were very good and polite November 13, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good and bad This is the third stay here, as part of an Army re-union weekend. The package of accommodation and meals was good value. The public areas are excellent, but the standard bedrooms are small with a tiny bathroom. The beds are very uncomfortable, I would expect more comfortable mattresses in a hotel like this. The food was very good and staff very polite. Its a joke, not having free wifi, when you can get it almost everywhere else. I refuse to pay the charges for it. So good and bad at this hotel. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Wifi Disappointed that this hotel does not provide free Wifi. I have stayed at many other hotels in this chain and have always had this provided. When I queried this I was offered Wifi at £5 for the hour! Caused a problem as running my business i needed to keep in touch with customers and on top of emails. In this modern world I expect this to be offered free as the pub down the road to this hotel does! Shame as apart from this issue an enjoyable stay. I expect to visit this area many times over the next 4 years as my daughter is at University fact we are back again this month. Already booked here but may need to rethink future visits and look for alternative hotels if this Wifi issue is not resolved. November 3, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Cov m6 Good standard holiday inn hotel, just off the M6, if you want a hotel with a pub or a curry house near by this one is not for you, but if you want to be off the motorway or a short trip into Coventry then this hotel should tick the box fo,r you. I stayed in a executive room, a few bits extra but most likely not worth the extra cost. Eat at the hotel and a good meal deal of starter and main with 2 drinks for £20, ok worth a stay. The location is ideal for accessing the nearby towns and attractions. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and service first class. The rooms are very comfortable and although next to two motorways it is quiet and peaceful. For anyone looking to stay in the Coventry area we would thoroughly recommend this Holiday Inn. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Probably the best breakfast out there. The breakfast food is par for the course - but the service and atmosphere created was first class. The staff were open and friendly and able to stop at my table for a few words. These are the first people I interact with in the morning when away on business, and a cheerful face with a few moments of chatter was very nice. The hotel liked me so much they wouldn't let me go. I waited for a very long time to check out and watched while staff wondered about doing whatever they do - but not helping their obviously struggling colleagues at the check-out desk. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Restaurant staff need some training. The restaurant was badly managed on the Friday evening and Saturday morning. The person in charge on the Friday was haughty and frankly a waste of space. As an example, the waiting staff took over 20 minutes to bring a desert menu! The whole process of eating a meal became an ordeal. I am still not sure why there was a delay there was no obvious cause, two waiting staff and a handful of tables - nowhere near full. Perhaps the worse welcome to an hotel I have ever had. By contrast the staff Sunday morning in the restaurant were a delight and gave fabulous customer service. The room was lovely and clean but far too hot! It is sad that this let the hotel down. October 16, 2013

The staff are wonderful, customer service second to none ....... my daughter hadn't booked to eat with us on the reunion evening but they accommodated her without a blink! Even with a vegetarian meal! Food was exceptional! I remember it being good last time but it was surpassed this visit. Wonderful carvery on the Friday night..... breakfast immense !! Room was clean and comfortable and spacious . Fab location ........ cinema, bowling, supermarkets, pub and restaurants a walk away .......great for kids. Swimming pool at hotel with spa ! only two negatives very high prices for drinks in the bar even for a hotel and charging £5 an hour for wi fi ! Should be free especially for priority club members ! Otherwise 9 out of 10 !!!!! well done . October 9, 2013

Was also really surprised that there was no ironing facilities in the room although an iron was brought quickly when I asked for it. Hotel staff were nice and room ok ... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HIGHLY RECOMMENDED For the few nights which we stayed in the hotel we experienced the most restful and peacful time in the middle of a most stressful situation, the atmosphere served to regenerate us, and help us to continue in our endevour. The staff were most efficient in their work and were genuine in their endevour to please at all times, more than just a job, I will recommend your establishment, and if I get the chance to visit Coventry again I most certainly will be staying at Junction 2. My welcome on arrival deserves special mention - extremely pleasant & helpful, and later, when I couldn't get through to room service, the receptionist offered to take my order and pass it through, which she must have done promptly as my food arrived very quickly. If you don't or have never smoked the rooms on the 1st floor are are a real 70's throw back reminiscent of a scene from the Sweeney.If the residue of a 1000 cigarettes doesn't over power your senses then the "eau de urine" in the toilet will. Never mind cheer yourself up with a hearty meal and friendly staff before you retire,WRONG! Flat Stella Artois,fat with some steak in and incompetent staff who do not understand the meal voucher scheme. The good news is that as a Platinum customer I have a choice and I simply vote with my feet.So back to the H.I Kenilworth although a little inconvenient in location it's welll worth the extra 20 mile and an earlier start September 10, 2013

We have stopped at this hotel many times over the last 10 years, overall it's a super hotel with a very nice leisure pool etc. all located in well kept grounds. Located close to the M6 J2 but far enough away not to be a noise annoyance. We stopped under the BB and evening meal package, excellent value. Both our Dinner and Breakfast in the Traders Restaurant were superb - we remarked that our dinner was probably one of the best we have had at this hotel , the Service was slick with just the right amount of time between courses. One thing that never changes is the willingness of the Staff to go the extra mile to ensure that the residents stay at the hotel is remembered for the right reasons. Thank you. September 8, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by No room to swing a small cat After a 3 hour drive, and being a Gold/Elite member I would have thought a warm welcome with a smile would have been the norm. I received none of this, was lucky to get any eye contact from the receptionist. Then my room, I've had bigger rooms' in a no star B&B. It was clean though. Went looking for the restaurant and as the receptionist wasn't around I'm pleased the chap behind the bar was able to help. In fact he provided excellent service throughout the evening. Breakfast was very good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I want to remain loyal to the Holiday Inn brand but this sort of experience does try my patience. September 2, 2013
