This was a quick stay. Staff polite and service orientated. For a quick stay it was good.

When one stays at a Holiday Inn, one expects to experience what is an international standard in hotel accommodation. At the Hoilday Inn, Dar Es Salaam, one gets this to, in my most recent experience, to a 99% level.
The only negative that I experienced was the stand by light on the television in the room which is a particularly bright, almost flourescent, blue which makes sleeping a bit difficult if yoy are light sensitive when trying to sleep.
Depending on how this would affect one, there is NO other reason for not staying at this hotel.
It's proximity to the city centre the area in general make it ideal for business visits, in particular.
This was not my first visit to the Dar Es Salaam Holiday Inn and will not be my last.

This hotel is being renovated.
Hence, noise can be a problem during the day, and I experienced it from 4 pm to 8 pm my second day there which was annoying.
Had staff told me upon checking in that renovations were taking place right next door to my room, or overhead my room, I would have asked for another room!
Towels also not white but 'greyish'. When reporting these problems with the new Manager, he told me they had towels on order - although I have had same experience earlier this year ...
Overall, there are some good improvements to the rooms, and the open air restaurant/bar on the roof, has been re-vamped.
I feel that if the windows could be double-glazed to improve noise factor, and it would also help to reduce 'aircon' costs !
Staff are very friendly and efficient.

When my office booked this hotel again, i could only think about the horrid smell we experienced last December. Staff was slow and un-responsive, food was nothing to brag about and the hotel was not kept clean, neither in the room nor in the hallway and reception area.
Well i must say i was pleasantly surprised this time. All of the above has been rectified and apparently under new management the hotel had made a 180 degree turn. There are still some things to improve on such as a renovation of the bathroom but besides this i will gladly stay with you again.
Well done and keep it up.

The Location of the hotel is good and the service is good. The rooms are clean and they are well maintained.

I was a little worried before arriving due to some reviews.
We spent 2 nights there and booked 2 rooms.
Staff is very nice and attentive to the extent to reserve a spot for our car.
Just beware when you go to the airport. At evening time it took us 1h45 to drive the 12 km..

The location is perfect and the staff were pleasant and friendly. The property however is in poor condition. The room had bad odors (smoke, alcohol and damp) and the desk chair was broken. My "non-smoking" room was equipped with two ashtrays. It was not comfortable as a work environment.
