Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by An excellent one night stay A really enjoyable stay. A pity it wasn't longer. Room was very comfortable as was the bed. Evening meal and breakfast was lovely with very good choices. Spa facilities were excellent. Check-in and out was easy and the staff were very friendly and cheerful. Will certainly stay again. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel for business or Liesure Used the hotel for the first time to meet work colleagues, there is a business longe which is well equipped with plug sockets and workstation. The hotel is modern and very contemporary, I stayed in an executive room which was one of the best I've stayed in. The restaurant is first class and was very unexpected, certainly not usual hotel food. I highly recommend this hotel and is in an ideal location for both business and leisure. February 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fantastic Room, Great Nights Sleep This is a great hotel in a fantastic location, from the Hotel you have access to some great places to visit Both countryside and the coast, Durham is not far away with it's Castle and Cathedral and small back street shops. Richmond is also close by with many attractions, Redcar, Whitby and Saltburn a great coastline all within a comfortable drive. Returning to a warm and relaxing hotel in the evening finishes off the day nicely. February 19, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not as good as before I have stayed at this hotel a number of times and I must say that I was a little let down this time. Firstly, I was informed that I couldn't claim any points for the room as I didn't book direct (this was rescinded later to be fair) - then I ordered a glass of white wine to be brought a red wine by mistake. Both were out on the bill and when I queried it, I was told that I should have checked my bill! Although I did get a refund I was made to feel as though I should be honoured that the staff have done this when the mistake was made by the waiter. I am a regular user of the IHG hotel chain and am normally treated well wherever I go, but I just feel that on this occasion, I was made to feel uneasy. I am hoping that this is a one off and I repeat that this has not happened before when I have stayed here February 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Service The service in this hotel was excellent. I would recommend this hotel. The Staff were very helpful. If there was a down side it is that the Bar Staff were extremely slow to serve and the layout of the seating in the bar is very unsociable. February 13, 2015
