Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good hotel, not so good restaurant The staff were friendly, and the room was great. We had a great view of the train tracks but did not hear a peep from them. The pool is a little plain and small, and awfully cold. Beds were very comfy, the pillows were marvelous! As for the ABC restaurant in this hotel, saves yourselves the hassle of eating here and go to Humpty's next door. Upon entering the restaurant, they have one of those "Please wait to be seated" signs. Well, after waiting for 10 minutes, she finally yells "Find yourselves a seat wherever there's a clean table!" We sat and ordered a coffee to drink. We finished our coffees before we got our meal and still waited 10 minutes to get a refill. They mussed up both of our orders (and also the 3 people around us at various other tables). The food was all overcooked and tasted burnt. Now, I found myself wondering why on earth there was only ONE person working. She was doing her best, I'll give her that, with the amount of sweat pouring off her. With that being said however, she sure could use some lessons on proper Customer Service. Not once did she even say hello, or ask us how our meals were. If it were not for our experience in this restaurant, our stay at the hotel would've been a 10/10. Because of the restaurant, I'll dumb it down to a 7/10 at best, simply because breakfast is the most important meal of the day and this breakfast wasn't even suitable for the less than picky eater... I've never had to deal with such an ignorant, disinterested group of associates than the front desk at this hotel... the level of service and organization provided was exceptionally poor. From long check-in times, bad attitudes, constant mix-ups that forced me to come downstairs to the front to confirm check-out dates in order to keep from being asked to leave despite the length of my stay... it was a nightmare. The only benefit was one of the team who took the time to make my stay pleasant. I can't remember his name, but take a look at the employee of the month board. The first name is the one who will actually make the effort to take care of you. July 23, 2014
