All, in all we had a good stay. It would have been appreciated if we had been told of the renovations going on. The restaurant, pool, fitness room, and commons area were closed. Our key cards did not work the day we were to check out. Thank goodness only one of us left to get breakfast. The rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The floors are a little dated in décor and carpeting, but these may also be updated during their renovation.

this hotel is undergoing renovations currently as of Oct 24th, 2015. The bathrooms were the smallest I have ever seen in a Holiday Inn and the rooms and carpet seemed to be very old. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean and the air worked great. The walls seemed to be thin, I could hear the people in the next room very well.

Nothing about the hotel stood out, due to being under renovation. The room was nice, but had to go out for everything, even the drink machines were empty. I would give this hotel another chance, but I was unhappy with my stay this time.

I have been staying at Holiday Inn's for 19 years and this easily was one of the worst. The hotel is under full renovation. There was no restaurant, lobby, or bar. I checked in at a table near the conference center. The clerk who helped me was friendly. The room had old, well worn furniture, but was clean and the bed was comfortable. The carpet in the hallways was stained and filthy. I had booked a 4 night stay and decided to give it a night. Quite frankly, I slept well and decided to stay the week. The hotel was in the perfect location for my trip. Midway through my trip, my room number changed. Mind you, I didn't change rooms, the NUMBER CHANGED on all rooms with no warning. Check out was when my real issues with this hotel staff began. I went to check out on Friday morning and the rate for Thursday had jumped by $43. I knew when I checked in that the document I signed clearly indicated the same rate for each night, and my reservation said the same thing. The morning clerk said it was "Holiday Inns fault, they set the rate". He corrected the error and I was on my way. I called later that day to speak to a manager. I was told everyone was at lunch. The clerk took my number and I was told they would call me back. There was no call back. I left another message, still no call back. I had to call IHG to have my issue resolved. With such poor customer service, I would never recommend this property even after the remodel is done.

Nice place to stay when in Birmingham , although they were renovating during my stay , i'd recommend this hotel , I'm sure after the renovations it will be a great addition to the IHG of hotels

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 Very friendly staff.
The only detractor from this visit was the hotels construction. I was not aware of it when booking. I was in town on business so no biggie. Everything else was great. Polite and friendly staff.

Staff very friendly. Major construction but were accommodating to my needs (early check in and late check out). Clean in rooms just outdated decor.
