Think you need to go to the highest priced brands to get treated like a valued customer....I really enjoy this property as I am in KC several times a year. A full service place that has an impressive presence and is clean and bright. Right from the front door you are welcomed with genuine and warm greetings. The restaurant has individual booths with TV's to catch up, the airport is next door and the staff is up to date and eager to help with your needs. A very available shuttle service with service to a nearby entertainment and great restaurant's. I will be back! July 21, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by albe We were put in a room over the pool & patio. It was a nightmare. Had to stay 3 nights. Complained every night, usually got to sleep about 1 or 2 in the am. I was very unhappy. Nobody seemed to care, because the noise never stopped. We were told there was a softball tournament in town. I could see hem making noise, but not after 10 or 11pm!!! . Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient Location! We were attending an event at the KC Expo Center. This hotel was very convenient. The staff was great. The Hotel is pet friendly with plenty of green space to walk your dog. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue I have is there is no where to eat lunch. The onsite restaurant offers breakfast and dinner, but you have to leave the hotel for lunch. Yes, they offer a shuttle within 5 miles, it's just inconvenient to call them to take you and come pick you up. Overall, it was a great value. July 6, 2013

Excellant meals at Kems Resturant, Pat at returant Bar was very knowlegable of KC area and did excellant job of promoting Kems steaks and menues, we never went to downtown KC. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by the room my stay was very good. couple of things to bring up. the lobby, elevator, hallway, and the room very dirty. the staff was super always asking if need something or just saying hello. curtains had something on them chairs had some kind of food stuck on carpet had a brown looking item on it bottle of overcounter medicine was in the corner behind a chair the linens was super bed slept good room was hard to regulate temp need to some kind of lunch for people without transportation nothing in walking distance to eat. Both times have been customer service and accommodations well beyond the norm in this day and age. Large parking, great hotel, with great room and comfortable beds. The showers are enormous. The restaurant and bar had good food and reasonable drink prices. The customer service desk employees were kind and welcoming. We won't stay any where else in Kansas City. June 14, 2013

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service staff and very clean rooms We have stayed at this location multiple times for its convenience in getting to and from the airport. The drivers we have had in the shuttle have always been outstanding as well as the front desk staff. The beds are pretty good and the rooms have always been clean. The food is good, but don't plan on catching an early flight and eating before you leave. I would have hoped the food service would have started earlier at an airport hotel. May 26, 2013

However on my visit of 5-16, I returned to the hotel very late in the evening to find that no one had been to my room to replace the Shampoo , coffee or towels. Front desk staff, bar staff, and night time hotel courtesy driver were extremely friendly in helping me in the early morning catch a flight! Customer service all around at this property was a "10". Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not what I'm expecting I have in my profile a ground floor room with a refrigerator, not a lot to ask. I got my room, 207, well I can deal with that. No refrigerator, no microwave, not happy about that. I go to get some ice and some water out of the vending machine and it's empty. Go downstairs and they have no water either. Bought two sodas for about .80 each more that it is in the machines and when I said something about it she just blew me off. Had a couple of dinners there and they weren't anything to brag about either. The heating/cooling in the room was hard to control, either too cold or too hot so I'm pretty sure I won't be back there. I won't be doing anymore of these surveys either, you need to know what's wrong, not my personnel information. April 16, 2013

The bathroom had hairs & hairballs on the bathroom floor while the carpet had small pebbles like it had not been vacuum, also the cable TV was inoperable during our stay limiting us to watch the NCAA games thru the web. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ok place to stay in Kansas City near airport I recently spent 3 nights here while traveling for business. The hotel was ok. A typical Holiday Inn. The pool was quite small,, & there is no hot tub. The exercise room is also very small. The pool & exercise room were both open 24 hours though. We did dine in the restaurant one evening & felt the food was overpriced, & there were only 2 people working the dining area & bar & it got quite busy while we were there. Our conference was right next door, so that was a plus. The food & service at the conference center were Amazing! The snow removal was not good at the site. In all of the days we stayed, there was no snow removal in the parking lot & it was quite a mess. One of the conference attendees who drove in locally said the back of the hotel lot was cleared, so we wondered why they did not have the guests move their cars there to clean the lot. March 9, 2013

For the last several years, the Holiday Inn KCI has been my home away from home when I’m in Kansas City for business, which lately has been once a month. The staff always greets you with a smile and makes your stay comfortable and relaxing. The rooms are always neat, clean and the beds are comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for any traveler. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great! We had 1 king bed for our room-it was great. We had 4 small pillows (almost the size of couch pillows) to share. I really liked that they offered different types of pillows (firm and soft) but because of their size, I had to lay them next to each other to equal one normal pillow. Housekeeping came by at 8ish to see if anyone had checked out yet. We weren't quite ready so they said they'd come back. They were pleasant. Lobby area was very nice. Front desk attendant was nice and informative. We were only there one night but it was overall great! February 14, 2013
