Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk customer service was POOR!!! I tried to check in at 1:30pm, front desk associate said check-in time was between 3:30 and 4:00pm, she stated no rooms were ready!!! I asked her to check with housekeeping, she rudely stated,"nope"! I asked for a manager! Chris, manager on duty came up an apologized, called housekeeping and proceeded to hand the front desk associate the information! I stay at MANY hotels per year and this is Always an issue at this hotel, rude, rude, rude! Also in the check-in package, there was a breakfast coupon for up to $15.00 for breakfast. At 7pm upon returning from business, I asked your new front desk associate if I could exchange the $15.00, breakfast coupon for a $1.00 candy bar as I do each time I have stayed there, a rude reply, NO"!!! conclusion to this review is not there is poor customer service, there SI NO CUSTOMER SERVICE unless your speaking to a manager!!! I am always offended when I am offered a bottle of water or points as thanks for being platinum member. I understand the small amount of points but a bottle of water.....really? I would think IHG can afford a free bottle of water for Platinum members that spend $10,000 to $20,000 a year at IHG properties. June 14, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean as expected. I had two issues 1, no office chair in my room. I called to the front desk and they informed me some of the rooms don't have chairs. This didn't make sense to me since the room had a desk. She probably should have said, let me see what I can do. After raising a bit of a stink, I got a chair. Well appreciated as I had 3 hrs. Of work ahead of me. 2, partly my fault. I did not get breakfast coupons to use in the in house restaurant (As a platinum member I usually get that perk). After the 2nd day I inquired and got at least one complimentary breakfast. Other than that, clean, friendly, inviting as usual for IHG. May 20, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay While this hotel is showing its age some, it is a great place to stay when at the Kansas City airport or in the Kansas City area. My favorite thing about this hotel is that it's quiet. While so many places have thin walls, this hotel is built like a tank. I could almost hear nothing of anyone else when in my room. I do wish the hotel had refrigerators and microwaves in the rooms, but I understand that isn't as common in a full-service hotel. Regardless, the staff delivered a min-fridge to my room once I asked about it. I don't hesitate to recommend this hotel. BTW, food isn't plentiful around the hotel. If you don't want to eat in the hotel restaurant, U-Gene's pizzas is excellent and not too far of a walk to the south (less than 1/2 mile). April 13, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Affordable and Comfortable I have stayed at this location several times and have always enjoyed it as a peaceful and comfortable place to stay and it doesn't break the budget. On this past stay, I was a bit disappointed as they removed a couple of the perks that I was looking forward to. As a platinum member, we used to get a free drink ticket and breakfast, now we get neither. We do get some bonus points but that isn't the same. Being I don't have much of a food budget, it was always nice to get those extras. I will have to think about whether I will stay here again or not. It isn't often in a convenient location but the perks helped me justify the extra drive. We will see... but other than that, I like the large parking lot and the rooms are nice and the internet works well. April 13, 2014

I have to drive an hour for business away from this hotel, the service that I receive at this hotel makes everything worth it. Chris at the desk is great, even when I've had a long hard day. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hotel near the airport! We take an annual trip to Las Vegas and this year we decided to try this particular Holiday Inn near the airport. Not disappointed one bit! Check in was fast and we learned that they have on-site parking for 2 dollars per day cheaper than the airport parking. A shuttle is provided to and from the airport and the first and last day of our vacation was free! We departed at 0430, which was well before the breakfast hours, so they had 2 boxes with fruit, milk, and other goodies waiting for us. Such a great group! The return shuttle was fast and the driver actually ended up waiting for us because the luggage was slow. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a flawless way to start their vacation. March 26, 2014

Housekeeping never replaced my coffee, didn't clean the toilet and didn't vacuum the floor the entire week of my stay. There were several days in which she never left clean towels. March 18, 2014

We reported the following to the front desk: - Towels taken from room and not restocked. - Coffee maker broken and not replaced. - Not recognized as Priority Club member or offered bottle water or snack. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice room but Shuttle was horrible We parked there while we went on vacation. On our way home we called them and told them the plane would land in 1.5 hours. We then called for the shuttle. Was told 10 min. 20 min later we called and he said I'm on my way... 30 min later I called and said where are you i'm waiting outside. 45 min later he drove past us and we waved him down. He was suppose to be right back. WE took a cab to the hotel for $10 and 3 miles down the road. If it was going to be 45 min he should have said that. We had to pay a sitter to pick up our children because we were late. Never rely on what they say on the shuttle February 28, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, friendly staff. Clean and well kept My wife and I recently traveled to a destination wedding. This was our first stay at this specific hotel. We were wanting to stay somewhere that offered "stay and park/fly", as we were going to be out of town for a few days. The staff at this hotel are very friendly, and accomodating. We arrived later in the evening. The young lady that checked us in was very pleasant to deal with, and the following morning the driver that took us to the airport was great. We were also introduced to the Manager. Overall I'd rate our experience "excellent". Definitely will stay again. February 24, 2014

Sidney was the best face for this hotel helping us cheerfully with questions about off site food and asking us if we had a good experience. The bed and comfort of the room were also excellent.
