Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best Holiday Inn Experience! Holiday Inn La Mirada was the best experience I have had at any Holiday Inn! I like to compare rooms (prices and amenities) on other websites but I always end up choosing Holiday Inn hotels for my trips, and this one was the best by far! The staff was excellent, the room was perfect, and when I needed anything taken care of, the staff was very helpful. I actually read on a third party site that there would be a fridge in our room but to my disappointment, our room did not have one. We did need one though and when I inquired about one, the front desk sent one right up! I will definitely come back here and will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family! March 27, 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Experience We were at your hotel for business purposes and have stayed at this location multiple times. I was disappointed with several things: 1: the window coverings in my room were torn and appeared to have been "tacked" to the wall on one side to keep from falling. 2: We were suppose to have shuttle service to Disney for a group one evening (this was reserved a month in advance) and the front desk was reminded several times, our group meets in the lobby and the shuttle has been sent elsewhere. So were were inconvienced and had to take several vehicles to get our group there and back. 3. The lounge on the 8th floor for platinum members was a disappointment during the week we were required to log-in when we entered the lounge giving our name and room number, I feel this is not only a security issue but an invasion of privacy. The attendant verified our visits and that were were in fact platinum members. So why the login when the door to the lounge should have been closed and each persons room key would give access. The traffic flow could have been tracked this way instead of the "log". I can't say enough about the attendent in the lounge, she has been there a long time and has always been very courteous and accomodiating. Always going the extra mile to please her guest. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great service, friendly staff My experience was good. The property was clean, beds comfortable, and the friendly staff always offered a hello. There was a problem on two of the three treadmills in the fitness center so if you wanted to get a walk or run on one you had to get there early, at least while I was there. Another pet-peeve is mine is the remote control for the TV didn't have a sleep button that worked. I like to go to bed watching the TV until I fall asleep. Then later in the night I would wake up to a TV that was still on because I couldn't set a timer for it to go off. Other than those two minor items I had a pleasant stay at a good rate. March 8, 2014

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nice people Building, HVAC, fixtures, plumbing, windows need updating or renovation. Rooms/fixtures/bath need renovation. Windows allow too much noise. Renovating rooms needs to be done but will not correct root of the building issues. Great location but very tired building/rooms/utilities. Interesting that the restaurant area is under renovation. This is only a band aid covering the real issues with the property! March 1, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I usually do not rate hotels this high We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by very helpful and curtious people at the front desk. They very quickly got us our room and explained about the breakfast. On Friday morning, the breakfast was on the top floor and the lady that runs it was so helpful. The Red Robin restaurant on property had closed up but the breakfast on Saturday and Sunday were held in that restaurant any way. The staff there was were also wonderful. The breakfast all three days was very good. There is a restaurant across the street and gave us a discount for staying at the hotel. There is also an In and Out burger right around the corner. The rooms were very clean and the pool area was also clean. It was about 7 miles from Disneyland, where we were going during the day but it was right by the exit and easy to get on and off. I usually stay across the street from Disney, but I would absolutely stay here again. January 29, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great price My family and I spent the night here and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. We checked in late in the evening as we spent the day at Disneyland. This hotel, btw is not too far from Disneyland which was good. The front desk was very friendly. When we got to our room, it was very spacious which was a plus! The bathroom was decent. All in all, I'd stay at this hotel again. Only negative thing I'd say is that the red robin restaurant a part of the hotel closed down which I wasn't aware of until we got to the hotel. We were hungry but it's a good thing that an In-n-Out is right down the street. January 12, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by For an "Executive King Suite" it was neither... I have stayed in IHG properties across the United States and this was a poor example of a suite let alone a "King Executive". A suite implies more than one room and this was one room. There was no refrigerator, microwave, the quality of reception on several of the TV channels hearkened back to the days of UHF antennaes and the airconditioning/heater was noisy and did not function properly. The restaurant on property was closed for remodeling #really? Over the busiest holiday season? This close to Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and the Rose Parade? Poor time to remodel...# As I am a Platiunum member of the rewards program. I was very disappointed. Would not recommend this property without some major renovations or upgrades. This is not acceptable by most IHG standards. We needed to check out early in the morning #0330# to volunteer at the Rose Parade and were too tired to complain or else I might have been more than a little dissatisfied at the time of check-in. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Our Home Away From Home Since August 2008, our family has been frequent guests of this hotel. We have always had great service in all of our visits! We feel like it is the "Cheers" of hotels, where everyone knows your name! We like it that we are always greeted warmly by front desk staff as well as the cleaning staff. It is unfortunate that the restaurant is now closed, as that staff also got to know us, but we look forward to the hotel opening their our restaurant. As long as our son is in the La Mirada/La Habra area, we will keep seeing you! Keep up the good work! January 3, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Train noise in the evening not pleasant Drapes so worn you can see through them. Faucet leaked in the bathtub all night. Hotel is very close to train tracks, so you do hear train whistles, since not enough money was spent on insulation or windows so the train sounds like it will drive through the lobby. Staff is friendly and helpful, but overall condition of the hotel is similar to a Motel 6. Price doesn't include breakfast, there is no refrigerator or microwave in the room. Location in a warehouse district,strange for a Holiday Inn. December 28, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Just another stay... The room I was staying in was pretty dirty. The wall had a hole in it from what looked like the desk being pushed into it. The TV had trouble working. There are not fridges in the rooms. When I informed them I would be staying the week, I needed a fridge, I was offered one but there are not ones in all the rooms. I figured based on my length of stay, it should have already been considered. As far as some of my coworkers, there were problems with their rooms too. Do not remember all the problems but they said they will not be staying there again. Additionally, the breakfast offered was VERY small. There was not a wide variety of choices. Furthermore, there used to be a restaurant attached to the hotel for those late nights when you need something to eat. It was a strong plus to the hotel and really convenient. I honestly feel like the place is slipping downhill. December 26, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Home away from Home Once again, a working weekend made better by staying here. I inquired about an up-grade and was PROMPTLY accommodated way beyond my expectations. THANK YOU!!!!! It may be in a bit of a transition right now in regards to the on site restaurant being closed but there is VERY GOOD dining VERY CLOSE. The rooms are always tidy and easy to settle into. Housekeepers always say hello and are smiling. Desk staff know their jobs making check in's a breeze. Coming into the lobby, seeing the fire place burning, is an uncommon pleasure that reminds me of home. Truly one of my FAVORITE features of this hotel. I think this Holiday Inn is a perfect fit for me and I intend to stay here before any other. Great little Gift shop/store in the lobby. They have whatever you might need in there! I have stayed in this Hotel close to 20 nights the past year or so, and I still look forward to each stay. December 19, 2013

It is not the fanciest of the IHG line of hotels but I like that the place is clean, the staff are friendly, and it is not trying to be more than it is... A quite, well located, place to stay and work. The fireplace in the lobby is always burning and is VERY inviting to sit and watch the flames. The attached restaurant has closed but there is good dining VERY close even still. November 28, 2013

The whole time we were there the restaurant was not open so we had to find other places to eat at. We also found that the beds were quite hard. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. November 22, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointed The decision to stay at this hotel was for its close proximity to the family functions that were taking place nearby. Also, there was some confidence in the brand of the hotel that it would satisfy our needs. Unfortunately, we found the hotel in great disrepair with many broken and falling apart fixtures. Our toilet overflowed on the first morning. While maintenance was quick to respond to the mess, they offered to dry the contaminated carpet while we were away for the day, but not steam clean it. The very thought was repulsive. We went downstairs the first morning to take advantage of the continental breakfast and the table was destroyed. At 8:30 a.m. everything was wiped out with no signs of refilling or replenishing the offerings. We switched rooms later that day and when we went to use the shower the shower head was broken and water came out in all of the wrong places. They did replace the shower head with a new one, but it seemed that it was one thing after the other. After returning one night from dinner, we went to the ice room to fill our bucket. The room was overwhelmed with the smell of urine. Needless to say, it was gross. Our room was sufficient and the bed was comfortable. However, the broken floor lamp that leaned to one side and the remote control to the T.V. whose batteries were dead were just other signs that a manager is not paying attention to these types of details that impact a guest's overall impression and ultimate satisfaction. This hotel is worked, as they say...time to update, fix and deep clean this overused property. November 20, 2013

Although, not too far from I-5 freeway, very quiet. The bed, very comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Staff in morning very friendly as well.
